My Big Disneyland discount ticket price comparison thread, what am I missing?

So the soon-to-be wife and I will be going to Disneyland from January 8th through January 13th of next year, with four park days. (9, 10, 11, & 12)

Our room is booked as well as our flight, so the only major thing left to take care of is actually getting the dang park tickets themselves.

Since I'm not staying at a Disney Resort there isn't any advantage in buying through Disney themselves so I'm going to go ahead and try to save a bit of money by picking up discounted tickets throgugh a third party.

Here's my findings based on recommendations I've had here on the board:
LastMinuteTravel: 2017 dates not available.
aRes Travel: $295
ParkSavers: 2017 dates not available.

So it loks like aRes is the winner by default. What other resellers should I roll into my choices here?

In addition, somsone calm my fears on this one: aRes' website says "Buy a 3-Day Park Hopper® Ticket and Get the 4th Day Free!" but doesn't specifically mention 4 days in the description of the ticket nor does it outright offer a 4-day park hopper ticket. Is this legit?

I've used aRes many times in the past and will be using them again in December of this year. They are a reputable reseller of Disney tickets, so I wouldn't be worried. If you are, contact them.

Unless you are getting a free 4th day free from aRes (and then you would have to do the math) Last Minute Travel will be cheapest. You can buy your tickets using a December date as you don't have to use them on the specific date you buy them for, as long as you are within the expiration period which should be a minimum of Dec 2017 and most likely Jan 2018.

Orbitz is another one to price watch. I used them a few years ago.

In my research, Sam's and LMTclub were the cheapest. 277 for a 4 day park hopper. I bought mine from sams, but supposedly LMTclub is identical. I told them a December date, but the tickets I received have a January 2018 expiration.

I just checked and LMTClub has tickets so you're probably doing the search wrong.

I called LMT to get their price quote. I couldn't find anything on their website.

I'm seeing a 4 day park hopper for $277.75 on LMTClub. Are you confusing LMTClub with Last Minute Travel?

This is what I get on LastMinuteTravel's website:

Okie doke, next question then.

LMTClub has a drop-down menu asking for "Available Date". This only extends until November 23rd. I'm assuming LMT only allows ticket purchases up to three weeks in advance? Similarly I guess I'll have to wait until mid-to-late December to purchase my tickets for use on January 8th?

I don't know what you're describing. Once you log on to LMTClub you see the "Book Your Trip" box on the left hand side. Click "Activities" and then enter "Anaheim, CA, USA" for your location. Now enter your dates and click "Search Now." It really can't be any easier!

I think he was doing like I did and just clicked the Activities tab at the top, then the Anaheim box. If you do that, the dropdown on Disneyland tickets only lets you pick dates for the next couple weeks. I wasn't aware that using the search box on the left would let you reprogram that box for your dates.

Not that it ultimately matters. Your tickets aren't dated anyway, but it's nice to know the workaround for those who are concerned with the dates listed.
