We took the kids to Sesame Place years ago...they just adored Cookie Monster!!
That carousel is just a tad creepy.![]()

So sorry I never made it to Seaworld before they did away with the free beer!![]()
They have some little rides like a small roller coaster, a hopper type ride and a somewhat creepy looking carousel.

I don't think I have been chatting much on your TR but I have been following along and enjoying! I'm sorry you have had a tough yearWill your cousin (do I have that right?) ever join your family on your trips? It's so fun seeing WDW through a kids eyes, very magical!
Good Morning Katie!!
I too am sad your trip is almost over...don't you wish you could just keep them going and going and going LOL!!!
Awww...bummer on the not getting wet in the Splash Zone what is up with that?????
Glad you guys had fun with you day at Sea World!
okay, so here is your "you learn something new every day" lesson for the day. i learned this from memom. i carousel contains horses only. a merry-go-round contains other types of animals. i've looked it up online just out of curiosity and i get both sides of the story. some places say that's correct and some places say the two words are synonyms. who knows but i think it's interesting!
my sister and brother would always be disappointed when they didn't get wet at sea world. once my sister was sulking for that very reason as we were leaving the dolphin show and the trainer came by riding the dolphin and this HUGE wave of water just engulfed my sister. it was really funny!
free beer? okay - all i have to do is mention that to ray and we'll be making a stop here for sure on our next trip!![]()
New Dis rule: You either have to post pictures in the morning early or after 4 p.m.
OR
you have to call us and tell us to stay home from work when you know you're going to post pictures.
Whichever you prefer.![]()
Naah, keep posting 'em. It gives me something to look forward to when I get home at night.
It's sort of like opening a present - you imagine what it is, but you don't really know, and then it's cool when you get to see the real thing.
Yep he's my cousin. Sorry I don't like to use our real names on here so I thought it'd be easy just to call him the little guy.We are in fact trying to figure out a trip for 2010 with all of us since we all want to be there his first time to WDW! I know he's going to have a blast. I just hope he likes the characters. But we'll never know until we try, right?!
It's funny how some kids love them and some kids just don't want anything to do with them. I have one of each, luckily Patrick didn't feel like he HAD to see all the characters so Daniel wasn't stuck waiting all the time for Patrick to do his thing. I'm sure that trip will mean a lot to your family.
Sorry to ask some weird questions...but how did you go about introducing them to their first characters?
Hmm, I hadn't really thought about it ahead of time but Daniel seemed most receptive to them when we went to CP for lunch. I think I have read other parents who take the same approach, first meal as a character meal.
I think part of it was that eating made it seem a little LESS about the characters. Something else to focus on made a little less pressure. that's just sort of a guess though. So it was better letting them come to him than him going to them?
