Frozen washcloths! We'd soak our washcloths in water, fold them into squares, and put them in sandwich sized ziplock bags. They went into the cold-drink pack (the size you'd take your lunch to work in) along with our half-filled frozen water bottles. When late June afternoon sun got the best of us, we'd have a frozen washcloth for the back of our necks, inner elbows and wrists, etc. Gosh this worked well! Yes, a cold drink is a vital necessity and the misty fans were a brief refresher, but the frozen washcloths really revived us!
