I just found this forum by accident...
My aunt has been fighting a hard battle with cancer over the past 2 years - she was diagnosed so young at 46 with colon cancer, and it spread, despite massive amounts of radiation and surgeries. Today she went to our Lord in heaven - she leaves behind my uncle, and my cousins, who are so young to lose their mom (22 and 15). We all loved her very much and know that she is now in Heaven with our Lord -and thank God that she is not suffering anymore...
We have spent the past 6 days in palliative care at the hospital -the hardest thing I've ever had to do as she was in pain, and so spending hours upon hours at the hospital each day, made me feel so helpless, as there was nothing I could do to take her pain away. We were able to say our goodbyes and show her how much we loved her though, and this will always be a special memory that I hold dear.
To all of those who have lost someone to the monster we know as cancer, my thoughts and prayers are with you, and to any of you who are reading, if you could spare a prayer during this busy time with your families, I would so appreciate it.
Lastly, my aunt was the biggest Disney lover, and so next time you are making special memories with your families at Disney, please think of my aunt. Cherish those memories with your loved ones...
