My Bday Celebration PTR.... UPDATED 8/2 What rides should we do????

Congrats on your graduation! Your dress is SO cute. I hope that it was a wonderful day.

Your ADR's look good. I was never able to get into Tusker House for breakfast, so I went w/ Crystal Palace instead. I am still a little bummed about it, but oh well. We did the 50's Prime Time a few years ago and we had a really good waitress, which makes all the difference. It was really fun.

Congrats on graduating and I agree, that dress is very cute!

Yay for getting all your ADRs! August is coming soon! :cool1:

Aw you guys look great! By the way, I have shoes like yours!

August 19th 8pm 1900 Park Fare (lated than I wanted but I will deal w. it)
August 20th 10:10am Tusker House (had a really rough time getting this!!!)
August 21st 12:20pm 50’s Prime Time
August 22nd 8:05am Kona Café (might have to cancel)
7:40pm Whispering Canyon Café
August 23rd 7:15pm Hoopdeedoo
August 24th 8:10am Crystal Palace (My birthday breakfast!!!)

1900 PF is so much fun. You're going to have a blash!

I haven't been to Tusker House or 50's PT!

Aw...you can't cancel Kona! Tonga Toast! Tonga Toast!

WCC is fun too!

Hoopdeedoo is a great show, just a warning though: the food is a lot like WCC which you're eating at the night before.

I love Crystal Palace and meeting Pooh and his friends!

Your ADRs look great! :thumbsup2 I've heard it's absolutely insane...not looking forward to fighting to be one of the first on the phone... :scared: I bet TH was just crazy to reserve!! Good job! And I have a spreadsheet too...now, it's been updated/changed about a million and two times since October when I started planning, but I have it nonetheless! It's great. :thumbsup2

I just came across your PTR from Alison's (Sunset Cliffs), and wanted to say hi, because we have a lot in common!

Congrats on your graduation! I'm glad you talked your brother into going with you guys, it will make it a lot more fun!

I haven't tried a lot of the places you're going to, but the Hoop-Dee-Doo was a blast and you're going to LOVE breakfast at CP that early, because you get to go in MK before the park opens!

Yea I went to crystal palace for my birthday so I figured why not make it a tradition (kinda??) I don't know if a tradition after two times hahaha :rotfl:

Ok so I don't know how in the world I am going to get anyone to read this one if I only write things every 10 days :rotfl2: But i promise i'm going to try harder....

I kind of have an excuse.... Scott and I went away to Wildwood, NJ (Sunday thru Tuesday) so I guess I will do a little Trip Report on that... Mapquest says it takes 4 hrs and 10 mins.... I thought it was lying I d Tton't remember it taking that long..... IT DID! :sad2: In fact, it took close to five hours with only a 20 minute stop. Needless to say we were a little cranky when we got to the hotel. We stayed at the Blue Palm Hotel. If you know anything about Wildwood it is a great beach town with about two miles of boardwalk/attractions. All the hotels are like minimum of 50 years old and look like a million bucks in the brochures and they are desperately in need up update when you get there.... this wasn't really much of an exception. We checked in no problem but when we lugged all our stuff to the room we found the door open an unclean.... The maids were ignoring us and just walking right by us  Then we see the lady stuffing her face with a bag of potato chips so scott was piseeeedddd. Long story she the manager sent them to clean the room right away. The room wasn't bad except for the stupid vinyl couch that wasn't comfy at all....

Anyway.... at home we have had 2 weeks of straight rain so we were praying for good weather.... luckily when we got there it was beautiful and we were able to stroll the boardwalk and get some pizza for dinner... It was a nice night but we were tired so to went bad and watched a really good movie on TV, I think it was called 10.5 Apocalypse.

The next day was bright and sunny yayyyyy. However scott informed me he forgot his bathing suit.... how do you forget your bathing suit going to a beach town :confused3 !!!! O well I am not missing the only chance I have to go to the beach so he went in shorts... that will teach him :cool2: So I took Scott to the diner for breakfast and then went to the beach :goodvibes

We went back to the hotel and showered and then went to pizza hut for dinner... I know it doesn't seem all that exciting but I loveeee it and the ones where we live are so gross this one is beautiful! lol

Then back to the boardwalk..... There were a few things that I wanted to buy (sweats from a surf shop I saw, the best fudge ever and this thing that butters corn- i know its the little things that excited me lol) ANDDDDDDDDDD we got a Caricature (spelling?) done and I love it!!!!!!! Did you know those people do parties?!?!? You play a flat fee and they draw as many people as they want I think that awesomeeee!
002.jpg

Anyway we went back and watched TV and were suppose to go up the block for ice cream sundaes but I fell asleep :rolleyes1

Tuesday we went to the diner got some last goodies from the boardwalk and drove home uhhh another 4 hours....

Anyway all in all it was a great trip away from home and time needed alone.... If you need a quick trip and live with 5 hours Wildwood is soooooooooo worth it! Another reccomendation is that we normally stay in a condo for a week (sat-sat) for a lil less and $2000 and it is wonderfulllll

Hey Girl! I came over here from Kristen's trip report :) The ADRs you made are awesome!

I love 1900 Park Fare, although I haven't been since 2006 and the Stepsisters weren't a part of the character rotation back then. I can only imagine how much better it is now!

50's Prime Time is a blast...especially if you get a server that's totally into their role. They made my little sister clean up after dinner. She had to help take all the plates and cups to the back. :rotfl:

Whispering Canyon was alot of fun, too. Make sure yall aren't SHY! And if anyone in your party needs ketchup, get ready to YELL to the whole restaurant. "WE NEED KETCHUPPPPPP!" We had a great time there!

Yayyy youre home :) Wildwood sounds like fun, actually it is fun, I've been there LOL but i know it was good for you and scott to get some time to yourselves. I can just picture you obsessing over getting back to the boardwalk to get the sweats, fudge and especially the butter thing :rotfl:

that caricature is cool but he made you guys look uglier than you are in real life...i guess thats kind of the point but still....

HI! Nicole! I'm also coming over from Kristens trip report! Your plans sound great! I will be arriving at the end of your trip! The heat in August isn't really that bad. I guess you kindaq adjust to it after a few days! I wish I wouldve come over sooner I couldve recommended a really nice hotel in Wildwood for you! Yes alot of the hotels there are very old I'm 36 and most have been there since I was a kid! :) I actually live apprx 15 min from Wildwood my mother works at a swimwear and shoe store in Wildwood and she actually lives there on the island! So was the fudge from Douglass?(or Lauras or Fudge Kitchen? ) Their fudge is awesome and have lots of flavors. Your plans sound great! I love the caricature!

Ok I forgot about that one LOL! Yes Montego bay is one of the one I was actually going to say ! I had a few Bday parties there for my son at the indoor mini waterpark. It's ones of the nicest ones since most are so old! :thumbsup2 A condo is definitely the best way to go! :) I also look at it like this the heat will be no worse there than as if I were home and i would be working! LOL! Iy really isn't much warmer there!

Ok so I am going outline what I have planned for the first few days of our trip....tell me what you think!!!!

Wed Aug 19th- Our flight leaves at 9:50 and we are lucky enought to be flying out of a local airport so that will be nice.... we land in Orlando at 12:35pm. We will be using magical express to take us to Pop Century. I am still undecided whether I want them getting my luggage from the plane and delivering it to my room..... I just have this terrible feeling someones suitcase won't show up (my whole familys luggage was lost on christmas day one year)! ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASEEE :confused3

I figure we will get to PoP around 2:30 to checkin in... hopefully the room will be ready but either way we will be hungry and want to eat. We will prob grab some lunch and hopefully relax by the pool. We have dining ressies at 1900 park fare but not until 8pm.... So I was thinking of goin to MK for a little bit before dinner. After dinner we will be tired from traveling and prob end up back in the room.

Thurs Aug 20th - The plan is to get to Animal Kingdom for the 9am opening, get in a ride or two and then we are going to Donalds Safari breakfast at 10:05am. We don't have plans for the rest of the day so we can take our time doing animal kingdom... I figure we will prob eat dinner at the hotel unless we are at animal kingdom late enough to grab dinner. After dinner I plan to head over to Disney Quest for the night.

Fri Aug 21st - Arrive at DHS for EMH at 8am (should be fun trying to get all four of us up and eaten by then!) Going to try to get as many rides done as possible before lunch at 50's Prime time at 12:20pm. Then we can finish anything else we want to do after lunch.... Again probably eat in the food court at pop for dinner. Then I figure we can head to DTD for the night.

So those are my tentative plans for our first 3 days let me know what everyone thinks :)

Ok so I knew alot of the plans already but I'm gonna comment. Day one sounds good. I was nervous about the luggage too you know that but then we just went for it and everything was fine. I would just say to go for it and let ME get your stuff and deliver it to you. I really haven't heard too many bad stories about it.

Day two will be good because all you have planned is AK and the TH breakfast. DQ is fun, Bryan and Scott will like it of course.

Day three will be hard getting everyone up early. If it makes it easier there's a place in DHS called Starring Rolls that serves breakfast, maybe you guys could get something quick to eat there instead of trying to eat before you leave Pop. Also at night if you're going to DTD I would suggest eating at Earl of Sandwich instead of the pop food court. I think even you could find something you would like to eat there :rotfl:

I totally could have told you all this in person

Ok even tho no1 commented im going to go ahead with my last 3 days plans :thumbsup2

Sat August 22nd- This is going to be our epcot day.... Scott and I have an 8:05am ressie at Kona Cafe. However, we are doing the Around the world at epcot tour at 9:30 so I don't think that we are going to be able to eat at Kona and ake to to epcot by the 9:15 meeting time  Anna and Bry will get to sleep in and meet us at the park around 11. The only other plans for the day is dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe at 7:40

Sun August 23rd- This is going to be kind of a random day. Scott and I have plans to go horseback riding at 10am. Again Anna and Bry can sleep in a little. Then I think we are going to meet up with them to take a ride on the sea raycer's!! They look so fun  The plan is to then head over to one of the water parks which are open until 6pm. The hope is that by the time we get there around 1 or 2 the crowds will thin out....may be wishful thinking but I can wish can't I ?? :wizard: We have a 7:15 Hoopdeedoo ressie for dinner!!

Mon August 24th- MY BIRTHDAYYYYYYYYYY... so the only other time I have been to dis we went to CP for breakfast so I figured why not do it again? So we have an 8:10am ressie at Crystal Palace. Then we have all day at magic kingdom...Hoping that we will be able to spectromatic and wishes to end out trip!!

Ok so those are all the plans.. I know there are some holes and uncertainty about counterservice meals but I think we will just play that by ear while we are there. Anyway feel free to comment!!

I think your plans look great!! All the days... That's so awesome that you were able to get the CP ressie you wanted on your bday! We're eating at Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD Marketplace, and the menu looks AMAZING. I've heard so many people say it's like a TS, but it only counts as a CS! So you might think about going there instead of POP :) I hope you get to ride the sea racers! And which water park are you going to? Both are SOOO much fun! :thumbsup2 Great plans!

Your plans look great! Isn't it exciting how we can now say we are going to Disney next month?! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

As for the Magical Express, I really wouldn't worry about them losing your luggage. We've used it on our past few trips and haven't had a problem. :thumbsup2

OK! So your plans sound great! So I would definitely let DME take my luggage! We've done this a few times! Had a problem once but it was minor we didn't get our bag until really late! So I would suggest packing at least a day of clothes , swim suits and essentials in your carry on just in case for some reason something happens you will have that on you ! This has worked for us!

So sorry that I haven't been commenting but we got back from our trip a week ago and I just can't seem to get caught up!

My suggestions for AK : Try to finish up one area of the park before going to the next area. We always end up jumping all over the place and that park is BIG, so we end up getting really tired & hot. Also, if you are there for dinner you might try the Flame Tree BBQ (if you like BBQ). It has good food and my husband loves their BBQ sauce.

At DHS : If you want to do Toy Story Mania, head there first and get in line or get a FP. The stand by line is insane for this and the FP sell out quickly. One day we got there at 10:30 and the FP was not until 5:30 that night! :scared1:

Ok even tho no1 commented im going to go ahead with my last 3 days plans :thumbsup2

Please DO NOT skip Kona for breakfast. We did this on our trip and it was such a good breakfast. I think you will be ok on the time too. We had an 8:55 am ADR and we took the monorail to Epcot and were in the park by 10:15. The service was very fast there and we were not rushing at all and we still made it in the park in an hour & 20 minutes later. If you tell your server your plans, maybe they could speed things up for you.
