First, opened my credit card bill. Saw that I had a bunch of foriegn transaction fees from my recent trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas. Ooops. Like an idiot, I forgot to make sure that the credit card I now use for all of my transactions to build a college fund for my kiddo was foriengn transaction fee-free. I have an Amex in my wallet that I could have used to avoid those fees. :headache:

Next, had to refill a prescription. Took it to Rite Aid with a $25 transfer gift card coupon. Ooops. I used that coupon on that same prescription two months ago. Computer caught it. No go. I needed it, so I filled with NO coupon. I have a Kmart Pharmacy transfer coupon in my wallet for $25 GC. :headache:

Then off to the grocery store. Oops. Forgot my coupon holder. Only buy a few things so I figure not a big deal. I check when I get home and would have saved $8 if I had it with me, and $4 worth of those will expire before I use them now in all liklihood. :headache:

Then I need to fill-up the tank. I pull into Sam's gas, whcih is usually the cheapest. Fill up with nearly 22 gallons worth. On the way home I pass Sheetz and gasp to see it is 6 cents cheaper! This has burnt me plenty. I seem to assume that Sam's will be cheapest and Sheetz often out-does them. You think I'd learn to start shopping around.

All not huge deals, but ever bit adds up especially this time of the year... and I know better!

I hate it when I do those things. I once went with my DH and kids to the zoo, and I left my annual pass at home. Since we had traveled 1 hour to get to this zoo, and we were meeting DH's parents there we had no choice but to pay the $40.00 to get in. I was super mad at myself that day. :headache:

If it makes you feel any better, your savings on gas would have only been $1.32. Not really enough to beat yourself up over.

Isn't that funny about gas? It seems like a big deal and it was when we had those terribly high gas prices awhile back, but a 6 or even 10 cent difference is not all that much. I was giving my DH a hard time when we first got his car because along with it, we were given a card for 5c off/gallon if we went to a particular chain. He never used it. He then pointed out to me, that he would be saving at most 95c and that only if he was totally emplty. Hmmmm, not something to gripe about.

andrewsdad, if the store is not too far away, go back adn see if they will take your coupons. The stores around here generally will if you get back there within say, 24 hours.

Yup, I generally don't sweat the gas. I won't cross traffic or go out of my way to get gas..especially if it's only saving a nickel. My FIL will make a special trip out just to get gas. I don't get that. Why waste the gas just to get gas? :confused3 Just get it the next time you are out and pass a gas station, there are tons!

On your list, the one that would annoy me the most would be the prescription one. I HATE that. Happens to me often, as well. We rarely need prescriptions, but when we do, I can NEVER find one of those GC things. Ugh.

Some places like BJs will refund you for coupons if it's within a few days, and you have your receipt. I have left my coupon holder at home and while running errands the next day dropped by for a refund. It was worth it, close to $10.

You could try taking your receipt and coupons up to the customer service desk and calmly explain to the manager that you mistakenly forgot to hand the cashier your coupons when you checked out; then politely ask if they can do a price adustment.

I've done this at Target, Tom Thumb, and Kroger before, and they've all complied. It's worth a shot...
