At least she teared up when she walked into school...if she would have walked away without a thought, I would have cried even more. ;) She had a fun day and played outside, drew me a picture, and met new friends.

She met a friend named Chrissy and Chrissy wrote down her phone number for Mo to call her. However, all she wrote was 0330 and Mo spent all night trying to call. LOL :teeth: I told her to get the rest of the numbers today.

Time flies when you're having fun!

They grow so fast don't they?..Mine starts in 2 weeks...

I know exactly how you feel...last year was my sons first day of Kindergarten and he was not happy about leaving me either! I think I cried more than he did, but he did get through those first few days and now he loves school! He can't wait for it to start in a week!

Next year though my youngest goes off to Kindergarten and I am sure I will be a wreck again!

:teeth::p

Cute Pics!! They get big so fast. my baby starts 1st grade in two weeks , he's the last of four kids, so i am at home all day by myself. It will be new to me. .

hang in there bridget!!

they grow up so fast...

I know it is hard! I posted last year after my older DD started kindergarten. The hardest part for me was that I couldn't walk in with her and personally hand her off to her teacher, as I was used to doing for preschool. I was expected to drop her off at the door where she would go into the school gym to wait for the bell. I compromised by walking her to the gym.

This year, however, DD is shaking me off at the door and walking in on her own without a backward glance. *sigh*

AHHHH, she looked so cute.
My oldest starts 7th grade in 2 weeks. DD#2 will go to pre-school next Sept. and I'm already sad thinking about it.

Awww....she is cute. My youngest dd starts kindergarten in about 10 days. She is excited and I am excited for her. She has waited a long time for this! When oldest dd started kindergarten two years ago, she was the one who cried and was sad that her sister was leaving her. As Rafiki says, "it is time.":D

However, that won't stop me from shedding a tear or two after I leave her.:(

We start K in two weeks! She looks so cute in her little gymboree outfit. It is great she made a friend so fast!!

I'm right there with you...DD started last week and the first day was the hardest in my life.

My baby girl started on Wednesday. I find myself thinking about her all day, wondering what she is doing. My chest feels tight every time I think about it. I also have a 7th grader and a high school senior, so that feeling may just be from the thought that I am starting this all over again. A Kindergartener and a Senior!
AY YI YI! I must be nuts!!

I remember the day my little boy went to kindergarten like it was yesterday. He starts college in one week. I think I will cry next week just like I did that day. I told him I am going to take his picture on the front steps of his dorm, since I have annual pictures of the first day of school on our front porch. I think he thought I was serious, at least for a minute.

Your daughter looks adorable! Enjoy every minute!

She looks so proud to be a Kindergartener.:) I think the first day of Kindergarten is rougher on us parents than it is the kids!

Mo is adorable.:)

I remember that day so well, when my daughter started school, it hurt me alot more then I ever thought it would, I wanted to eek in the windows, just couldnt waite for tat day to end so I could pick her up.

long post

What cute pictures, Bridget!!! Mo sure is a little firecracker. I remember her, in and out of the house, in and out, LOL. And so very confident in herself!!

They do grow up quickly, guys, hold them close while you can.

I'll be in your boat on Aug. 28 when DS starts. He's my youngest; the girls are going into grades 3 and 6 (junior high!).
I've only been able to see DD#1 off because she was AM kindergarten. Since I teach 1/2 hour away and had 1st hour conference I could make it. But DD#2, as well as DS, was/is in PM--they'd be getting the bus at 12:30 (they encourage bussers to go on the bus from day one to get used to it) and with driving I'd miss teaching my 6th hour--hmmm, now thinking about it maybe I can swing it, if I get somebody to cover that class. I have 7th hour conference. They get a little surly if teachers miss work the first week of school!
Anyhow, Grandma watches him in the morning as she did DD#2, and she had boatloads of pictures of DD's first day for me, so either way I'm in good hands. I cried like a baby when I left DD#1. I'm the emotional type.
