My grandson is 12 and a disney adult. Last month we were there for 2 weeks. The restraurants were extremely accommodating. When ordering his meal, he would buy an adult meal and sub things out. For example, he would order the filet mignon with no sauces (or anything fancy). Instead of the fancy mashed potatoes (yuck--with skin or cream cheese) he would ask for a baked potatoe or french fries and he was always accommodated with his request. If he didn't like tha adult desert, he would check out the kid's deserts. Appetizers were never a problem for him as he loves shrimp and everyone has it on their menu, sometimes buffalo wings. He did great, but did have to pay special attention to the menu and how the dish is served. BTW--he did eat ALOT of filet mignon. He does great for the CS too, with choices of burgers or chicken strips and fries, he was always happy!
