4/12 - Kona Cafe Dinner
4/13 - CRT Lunch for DD
4/14 - AK Restauranous Breakfast (might pay for this one)
4/15 - Sci Fi Lunch (didn't like dinner menu)
4/16 - Askerhause breakfast - again for DD
4/16 - Planet Hollywood Dinner
4/17 - O'Hana for dinner
4/18 - Wolf Gang Puck
4/19 - open

Mine seem so blah compared to everyone elses! I am thinking because we are doing the 2 breakfasts and CRT for DD.

Don't worry about everyone else and what they are eating ;) Pick what you like and enjoy. Tons of people here rave about Le Cellier and it was just OK for me. Not a place I need to go back to anytime soon.

They sound fun to me! You and the kids will love 'Ohana. We did both the princess meals for lunch with my girls. You will enjoy both and seeing the look on your little one's face is something you won't forget! You'll also have a great time at Sci-Fi! Not to worry, they are not "blah" at all!

Thank you for the responses. It is the girl's first time there, so we really want to make it special for them. I just see that a lot of people do the Le Cellier, Concourse, etc, etc. and the upper end restaurants. I feel that we are going to be missing out on all that. But you are right, the girls will be so happy with their experiences, that it will all be worth it. Maybe next time, we can do more adult meals! And DH really is a great burger, sandwich and fry kinda guy, so this may work out for the best. He wants to do ESPN club or All Star Cafe, so we will head there for him.

If you like fun the MGM now has a Toy Story character meal, I think at the Hollywood & Vine diner, which you might consider for your DS-4. The 50s Prime Time at MGM is also lots of fun because the waiters are "moms" and "dads" that correct you and let the kids get away with things. Mine loved that when he was 12. You know, elbows on the table, eating all of your vegetables, etc. He thought it was great and I and my sister were getting corrected and he wasn't!

But pick what your family would like and enjoy. Read the menus and have fun!:goodvibes

I thought it was a little einsteins meal not a toy story at MGM.:confused3

We'll be at Kona on the 12th too!! We're celebrating our anniversary! What time will you be there?

If you think it's so blah, take me with you, and I'll judge them for you! :rolleyes1

The characters at Hollywood and Vine are not the Toy Story characters. They are 2 of the Little Einsteins and Jojo and Goliath.

We're doing the breakfast here for my ds-almost 4 on the trip, he'll love it!

Planning for our Sept trip and we have some of the same places as you. We are trying to pick restaurants our DS7 will enjoy and not restaurants that we (parents) would pick. My focus, like yours, is on DS enjoying himself. For instance, we had to choose between Le Cellier and Coral Reef. We chose Coral Reef because he would enjoy the aqarium more than a cellar. Both places have good and bad reviews and I don't care about the food as much as seeing a smile on his face. If he's having a good time, rest assured I will be having a great time.

Your picks may seem blah to you but I think they sound brilliant for your children.

I think your ADR's sound great for kids and adults! I'd definitely pick those resturaunts too If I had more TS and CS credits. (I'm on the DDP). They don't sound blah in the least! let us know how they all were! :goodvibes

Aww, those aren't blah at all. I think they're great! Go and have a magical time! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I would love to do one more nice one, like Coral Reef or Concourse. I printed out the menus for the family, and they liked the choices at Wolf Gang Pucks the best. We will wait and see. I may pay for the breakfast at AK and then hit another sit down if there is time. I just didn't want to do overload.

Don't worry about what everybody else is doing. Do what makes you happy. We're not doing anything "chi chi" either (unless you count Coral Reef...). I wouldn't be comfortable in anything I would call "dressy" at home, so I sure wouldn't want to do anything like that on vacation :)

They sound great. I thought my list was blah too , but with 4 kids I need to go to the places that have food they will enjoy, which means nothing fancy. How about Chef Mickey's that was fun and good food.

Actually, my daughter is not a fan of the characters in the costumes. She LOVES the princesses, but she is scared of characters with costumes. That is why I didn't pick Chef Mickey. I am a little concerned about Restauranous (Sp?) in AK that we picked, but we are there that day and I thought I would give it a try. Plus, I am hoping maybe not as many characters are there as there are at Chef Mickeys?? I am still on the fence about that. I THINK she would like it but I don't think the characters can get too close to her or we may have a meltdown. Crossing my fingers.

We did Donald's last year and really enjoyed it:goodvibes The food was great. The characters were Donald, Mickey, Pluto and Goofy. They don't spend a whole lot of time at the tables and it did seem a little rushed but for your DD this may work out great.:thumbsup2 I thought about eating there again but decided on CM for breakfast instead for DS B-day:bday: (had dinner at CM last year and it was good). My DH and DS made the ESPN Club a MUST DO for this trip!::yes:: Hope you have a wonderful time!!:wave2:

Thank you for the info. I think I will keep donald's then. It sounds like it might work. Or maybe O'hana breakfast instead? Any thoughts on that? I think she will be fine. I think she will love to see them, but I am worried about her reaction if they get too close or are too many.

I thought Coral Reef was a fun experience. I would choose that again over Le Cellier. Better atmosphere. If you are lucky enough to sit near the tank at Coral Reef, that is a bigger bonus :goodvibes
