My ADR's Are Made! Tell Me What You Think!

ETA: I don't know squat about the dining plan so I don't know how that influences my recommendations. I did it once years ago when we were staying at the CR anyway and they gave it to us. I ever living hated eating that way. NEVER again.

Really? I think the dining plan is the greatest thing since sliced bread! All of my meals are paid for in advance, and I can order whatever I want without having to worry about the bill! If I were paying for my meals á la carte I wouldn't have that advantage, as I'm what's politely called a "budget" traveler.

The drinks at Abracadabar look like what the menu at Grandpa's boat club might have looked like in the 1950's. May have to rethink that. Or just get a screwdriver.

Some of my must dos aren't even covered by the plan:) I always order an app or salad, and usually another app for my meal. I pretty much never want to eat dessert, and I even more rarely want to do it with a meal. At SRT, I love ordering a bunch of tapas for the table, which just isn't how the dining plan works. At Marrakesh (on your list) I get the vegetarian appetizer for 2 thing, its a long time favorite, if I'm traveling with someone else who also likes to graze, I get lucky and can do that and the goat cheese, and its just happiness! I feel so constricted by what to order on the plan, its just NOT me, at all. Like I might well slip into HBD for cocktails and a small app to share around 11, and have the same around the pool at 3 and have dinner at 9:30. I'm not one to blame the plan for the declining quality of WDW meals, I just know what's still delicious - and that's plenty. I'm simply not one the plan would work for. I'm glad you love it and are getting to enjoy it!!!

The problem here is that this was not Aaron's decision. This was Leslie's. And as the old saying goes, "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy"

OK, I saw something along those lines re BOG but not for WCC. By all means, do keep mama happy.;)

Yeah the dining plan isn't for everybody. Some people don't like it because they could never eat that much food. Those people have obviously never met me.

Funny thing is, there's no possible way Mrs. Homie and I could burn all the snack credits. Last time, we carried like six boxes of popcorn between us onto the plane home, because Mrs. Homie was not going to let our snack credits expire.

Also: We're going to imbibe adult beverages a lot more this trip than we usually do. I'm planning on hitting Abracadabar, the 50's Prime Time Café bar, Trader Sam's, Mizner's (where I'll be getting the charcuterie board, mainly because I want to say the word "charcuterie" in public), and Territory Lounge.

Don't miss the Nomad Lounge in the Animal Kingdom, either!

Sorry if I am out of line but I was once told not to make adr on arrival day because you don't know if your flight we'll be delayed
