My AAA agent is terrible!

So as everyone and their mother knows, the rates for the 2007 packages came out yesterday. So I called and emailed my AAA agent (we already had a room reservation where they charge you a one night deposit to hold your reservation) to let HER know that the rates came out. She sent me back an email that she would call Disney to make sure (duh!). I emailed her back and asked her to give me a call to iron out the final details. Instead of calling she emails me back (after I left for work, when I specifically told her which times she could reach me) and gave me the quote for 3 different scenarios, and didn't get a quote for the platinum dining package (which is the one we were interested) and then says in the email that she cancelled my one night deposit reservation and told me to contact her tomorrow so we can reserve everything. I am really worried that she cancelled my one night deposit without me booking the whole package right away. Should I be worried? I mean I know that they cancel your one night when you book the whole thing but I am just nervous that she cancelled it at like 4pm and I won't be speaking to her until at least 10am (if I can get a hold of her...she is never at her desk). But don't worry...I am calling as soon as I get off work tomorrow (10ish) and I will talk to someone!!!

No worries the room only ressie has nothing to do with the package availability. That is they have a different inventory for room only than they do for packages. I am sure availability at this point will be no problem.

In the defense of your agent if she didn't frequent a board like this it is very possible she would not have known yet. Disney sends out announcements to agencys usually the day of the release and at times the day after. I sometimes know new things 2 days before Disney notifies our office by reading the boards.

If you really are unhappy with her though and feel she is not measuring up now would be the time to find a new agent since you currently have no ressie. Perhaps there are other offices in your area or someone here could recommend a good agent.

Thanks for the response. We did get our plane tickets through this woman so I just hope I can book everything today. If I can't get a hold of her, I will DEMAND to talk to another agent. I have had problems with her poor/lack of communication skills since day 1 after our initial meeting. I have given her the benefit of the doubt, but I just don't think that she should have cancelled my room reservation so many hours before booking everything. Oh well, 4 hrs until I call AAA!

Any update? :confused3 Did your agent get what you wanted? I felt so bad for you when I read your post! How dare someone try to take the magic :wizard: out of Disney! :grouphug:

I hope all is well today with your ressies! One more :grouphug: for good measure.

Thank you for the responses...everything is ok now. I called AAA this morning to tell my agent that I needed info on the platinum package because when she emailed me different prices, she left out a price for the platinum plan-- which is the one my FH and I wanted info on. So I called her at 10am and she said she would call Disney and get back to me....I wait and wait and at 1:30 I call her again and she was like "I was just getting ready to call Disney" ***? she had since 10 am and she KNOWS after 2:30 she wouldn't be able to reach me. Anyways she promised to call back and she did at 3:00. We booked our package and I am all set!!! But I just still can't believe she cancelled our room reservation without being ready to book it immediately again!!!

I'm sorry you had so many problems. You shouldn't have to be worrying about all that...it is supposed to be a fun experience. I am very glad to hear that it all worked out in the end and now you can relax a bit. Hopefully you won't have these problems for your next trip. Take Care.

Have A Magical Day!

I'm glad everything worked out for you in the end. Did you find it was cheaper to go through AAA than to work through Disney? Just wondering. Thanks. :sunny:

I dunno if anything is cheaper. We are staying in a Magic Kingdom view room at the GF and are on the platinum dining plan for 8 days for $8300. That also includes trip insurance.
