First of all, I'm sort of dissapointed that this has to be my 900th post (please hold any celebration until I get to the big 1000), but I feel there are some things that need to come to the attention of the board. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I feel that there are some things that need to be repeated. I also don't want to sound like a fourth moderator (or a third active one) either.
With all that being said, I was confused when I got home from Mission Trip to read what Daniel had to say. At first I did not know what he was talking about, but it has come to my attention over the last couple of days. I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even though it may or may not differ from my own. I also do believe in the rules that the DIS Boards has put aside for the boards are respectful enough. With some of the threads that have occurred in the last few days (ones that I have replied to and others I haven't), I believe that the Teen Board is sending out a bad vibe to guests who are reading the Teen Board. This would include making over-generalizations and pin-pointing certain people or certain groups directly or indirectly. Imagine that you are a 13-year old kid checking out these boards for the first time and what you see reminds yourself of the things that you hear and see at school. That would not seem like a neat place to hang out. I have practically cried from some of the things that I have read on the boards. I am a very sensitive person and certain words really offend me. So I was wondering if we, as a board, would be able to weed out the icky stuff from the boards, or else I think we could lose a lot of nice people that all have one thing in common with us, the love of Disney. I would also like to take this time to apoligize to anybody that has been emotionally hurt by anything that I have said, because I make mistakes without realizing it.
