and she is easily the height of an 11 year old! I'm worried that someone might question her age, since obviously I'm buying her a child's ticket (b/c she is the proper age!!). Is that ever a problem? Should I consider bringing her birth certificate?

I agree with the previous poster.... I have a tall nine yr old... I brought a copy of his bc, but no one asked. Good luck!

Our daughter will be 3 on 2/26 and on our WDW trip 3 weeks ago 2 CMs at the turnstiles asked us if she had a ticket. We just said "no" and that was that. They let her right on in. No questions about her age, why she didn't have a ticket, etc. My daughter knows she's 2, but if asked by a CM she probably wouldn't say anything at all. She's 37 inches so not super tall or anything so I never thought we'd be asked (and we were just there a month before that and never asked) and didn't have any proof. Well, I guess in the room I have her nursery photo in my wallet with her birthdate printed on the picture, but I'm sure I wouldn't have even thought of that.

So I don't think you'll need any proof. Of course, if it makes you feel better bring something, but like I said we were asked if we had a ticket, said no, and they let her in. No more questions asked.

My 10 yo, was 9 when we went to WDW. He is 5'3'', no one even bothered to ask him or myself his age. I thought that someome would be like yeah right lady!! But we were never questioned once about his age. He is a big boy!! Almost taller than his momma! But i did bring an ID card just in case.

My sister had that happen with her son, he's 15 but 6'3" and looks about 18 Well they had gone to Cedar point in Ohio and they had some promotion where kids under 18 stayed free and ate free ( Big mistake with this kid, who plans Disney to "rue the day" they came up with the meal plan" all this kid does is eat and grow) Anyways they checked in and they didnt belive them that my nephew was 15. He had his id with him but of course kids change quickly and didnt look quite the same in the passport photo as he does now. Well they did believe him but every time he went to eat they had to prove once again he was the age he said he was. '
So all in all, bring it just incase. or at least a photocopy of it if you are worried.

I would suggest the birth certificate as well. My DD3 was 40 inches when she was 2 1/2 and I was asked for ID for her at Magic Kingdom once during that trip. I luckily carried her birth certificate with me for that trip and the CM finally let us in with the stroller.

I have never had a problem at the parks, but I did get a questioning CM and my resort check in 3 years ago. We brought my DD who is the tiniest thing when she was 2 1/2. The CM was soooo nice and gave her stickers and coloring pages and let her sit behind the counter while she checked us in. In a casual remark she said to my daugher wow you are such a big girl I bet you are three....my lovely DD was like "no, no, no I AM 2!!!!!" My husband was so impressed at how interested the CM was with Katie....I laughed and told him come on don't you think she was trying to find out if she was really 2....and what a slick way to do it. I was impressed.

My 8 year old is almost as tall as me (I'm 5'2") and we didn't have anyone question us about her age.

Not that slick... none of my kids would have said they were two when they were two... my ds6 still says he's five, and my dd3 claims she is five! I have had many times heard one of my kids swearing they are older o r younger than they are, including once on the bus when my dd (4 at the time) was saying she was five (five year olds PAY on the bus)... wanted to shoot her!

My DS is short, she's barely 5ft. My eldest son, who's 10 is taller than her. She's 39 and sometimes people want to give her a child's menu. No one has every asked about my son's age or denied him a children's menu, even at WDW. Really the only problem I ever had with him, was when he did afternoon K. I used to run errands in the am, as younger DS took his nap in the pm. I always was taken to task for not having my child in school by some meddlesome "senior" ladies. It happened so often, he used to tell them his age and his grade!
