"My 40th Birthday Do Over" PTR May 2009 - ** Updated 4/1/09 with Itinerary **

Colette:
Are you going to me at the meet on the 17th? I can't recall seeing your name on the list and I was wondering? I am also planning on parasailing on this trip. Someone on here mentioned buying the pictures they take of you while you do it. Did you do that? I have parasailed once before years ago in Cancun and loved it. It is a must do for me - on my Second time around bucket list I guess you call it :lmao:

Sorry Angela, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

The parasailing sounds fantastic! I think I'd be too nervous to try it though.

Now what is wrong with these clothes, I ask you guys?:cool1: Back in the 70's, I was actually sewing and making clothes like this for my kids and for me. In fact, I was looking for a pattern the other day to make a dress for my DGD and I found a jumpsuit pattern exactly like this! If anybody out there needs an outfit like this....hey, I can help you out :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I think I had a few outfits like that myself back then.

Sorry it took me so long to get to your PTR but I am loving it so far. I concur on why Moms need to go on their own. Totally love DH and DD and love going with them but all they want to do is ride thrill rides. Or lay by the pool. That's great but sometimes, I want to do something else! and I don't want to fight to get to do it! Fighting should not be done on a vacation. Ruins the good vibes:)

I agree totally

Welcome aboard!!!

:woohoo: Joining in on this party. I stalked you here from the MMM thread.

:cheer2:HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EARLY AND LATE.

Your boys are very handsome. And I know what you mean about 20 year olds wanting to sleep all day :sad2:.

Drinking around the World sounds like a blast. I wonder if they would fill a thermos up with the slushies hmmmmmmmm :upsidedow.................:rotfl:

See at the meet!!

Hi Racefan! Thanks for tuning in. Looking forward to meeting you at the MMM!

Hey Robin -

Welcome back LOL I am so happy to be finished with this semester!

I started "training" for the DATW on the 17th by having two Margaritas Friday night :rotfl2: So far, so good :lmao:

I'm really looking forward to meeting you and Tracy at JRs. I need you guys to show me the ropes :lmao: Feel free to tell whoever you want that its my birthday (as long as they don't make me get on stage and sing :scared1: ) :rotfl:

I'm baaaaaack!

Wow, things have gotten so quiet around here, I don't know what to do with myself :lmao:

For the first time in months, I don't have to be anywhere or do anything this weekend. Thankfully, I can finally get my house back together after months of neglect (good thing my kids are old enough to feed themselves or they would have been in trouble :rotfl2:)

This weekend will be devoted entirely to cleaning my house, washing clothes and general trip preparation. I probably won't start packing until next weekend. Who am I kidding - I won't start packing until the night before I leave :rotfl:

Luckily for me, I'm only packing for one this time :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

:dance3:only 12 more sleeps until I back at the Mouse House :dance3:

Thanks, Jason! Welcome aboard. Better late than never :lmao:

I've enjoyed reading your PTR too. Colin is a real cutie pie. You are going to have your hands full with him

It's nice to see that I am not the only compulsive planner. I'm so bad, I've got list of my lists. :lmao:

Some people say that planning takes away from the spontaneity of the trip but I disagree. I feel that planning helps me relax during the trip because I've done all of the thinking before hand.

Looking forward to meeting you and Colin at the SpectroMagic Meet and the DIS May Mammoth Meet!

Hi everyone!

I have some great news...I saved a ton of money on my car insurance :lmao:

No, just kidding. I got my grades for the two papers I turned in. I got an A on both papers :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I am so happy because I worked hard on those papers.

And the news just keeps getting better...I got my final grades for the two classes I was taking this semester - I got an A in both classes :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

I am so happy this semester is over and I am so happy that I did so well!

I'm only taking one class for the Spring semester. It was supposed to start tomorrow but the Professor is on sabbatical and doesn't return until next week. The class was scheduled for Mon and Wed but the Professor's assistant said that she might be changing it to Tues and Thurs. If so, I will miss the first week of class because I'LL BE AT DISNEYWORLD!!!

Speaking of my trip - yesterday I called and adding the DDP to my package. And today, I did the online check in!! This trip really feels official now!!! I'm going to Disneyworld!!!

I also read a wonderful review of Sanaa. The review including photos of Kidani Village and Sanaa. Everything looks so beautiful I can't wait to see it all. And the food looks delicious! I am so excited that I'll be having dinner there with Aubriee on my arrival day!

only 9 more sleeps til I go back to Walt Disney World

I am now doing the single digit dance

Here are 9 dancers for 9 days:
:dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Congrats on all those A's-you rock!!:cool1::banana::banana:
Yay for the dining plan, YUM
Can't wait to meet you!

Sorry to just be checking in too! Great job on the A's, whoo hoo!!!

I just have to comment about your outfit with Winnie....oh my goodness. I about fell out of my chair on that one. See I was born in the 80's so I was not subjected to those clothes. Wow, that was quiet an outfit! And it looked HOT!

Hope to see you soon!

Hi everyone!!

It's been awhile since my last post. I've been really busy trying to get everything ready for this trip.

My last day at work was Friday :woohoo:. I left work early to get my hair done (I gotta wash that gray right outta my hair :rolleyes1 ). After my appointment, I ran some errands.

One of the things I did was get some new gym shoes, Bodyglide and some moisture wicking socks. I have had problems with blisters in the past and I don't plan to have those problems this time!

Yesterday, I finished my remaining errands. One of the things I did was go to the grocery store to make sure there was some food in the house. I asked the boys if they wanted me to cook something before I left. They both said "no". I didn't know if I should be offended or grateful. I chose grateful - one less thing I had to do! :lmao:

After my oldest DS got off of work, the boys and I went to dinner and a movie to celebrate Mother's Day and my birthday. I had a coupon for a free meal since it was my birthday - YAY free!!! We saw X-Men Wolverine. It was pretty good. The highlight was Hugh Jackman. He looked freakin awesome with his shirt off - JACKPOT!!! :rotfl2:

During dinner, the boys asked me about my itinerary for the trip. I was surprised they wanted to talk about the trip. Earlier they were both trying to talk me into taking them with me - and I almost caved! But my youngest DS is not doing well in school so I said he can't go because he can't afford to miss any days of school. To which my oldest DS responded "what does that have to do with me?" I told him that he needed to stay home to watch his brother. And besides, the whole reason for this trip was for me to go by myself. As I was talking about my trip during dinner, they genuinely seemed interested in what I had planned. And they both said that they hope I have a good time. I just hope they'll still feel that way when I leave :rotfl:

Today I have been cleaning the house and washing clothes - no packing yet. I'll bring my suitcase up tomorrow and start packing then.

Tomorrow, I have to take the car to get an oil change. Once I get home - it will be non stop trip prep :yay: I still have so much to do - give the boys my itinerary, talk about the house rules, make sure they have the emergency contact numbers, organize my trip binder and laminate my list of drinks at EPCOT (a girl has to have her priorities :lmao:) I feel like I still have so much to do - and I have an 8 page "To do list" to prove it :lmao:

By the way, I had a dream last night that I got to Disney and I didn't have any of the itineraries that I have spent the past 5 months working on :scared1: It was a scary, scary dream :lmao:

I'm trying to relax and not sweat the small stuff (and it's all small stuff!) As long as I have my plane ticket and my Disney reservation info, I'm good to go. I can't believe this trip is almost here !!! :woohoo:

Well, I've only got 2 more sleeps before I get to WDW

:cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

:dancer::dancer:
