I just want this year to end.

In Feb. I had surgery-women surgery and I recovered fairly fast.

By May I was reacting funny to my GERD medicine. I had to stop taking Nexium and I tried other brands but they made me sick to my stomache. This past summer I was in the emergency room 6 different times. In August I was in 2 different hospitals. They finally took out my gall bladder and then I was transported to a speciality hospital. A small stone was sitting in the valve that leads from my stomache to small intestines. Then they had to clip the valve since it spasmed for some reason and this was the cause of my stomache upset.

Today I went to the dermitologist and he sliced a mole my left buttox, and he sent it in to get tested. I told him I used to be a lifeguard when I was 15, 16, 17 & 18. I noticed my nose and a patch above my eyebrow is rough and scaly. He said I have pre-cancerous cells. I have to start a cream treatment Jan. 1. He said I could start now if I wanted, but he said the cream will make my face break out.

Has anyone ever dealt with the cream to remove the cells. I read the word raw and wonder how bad this really is. I need to put it on twice a day on even days and once a day on odd days.

Hugs, hugs, hugs....

I have not tried the cream, but just wanted you to know that DH has had many pre-cancerous cells removed. Did they not remove them with liquid nitrogen?? Maybe this is a new way to treat them so they do not use the liquid nitrogen....

Anyway...I know what it feels like to have GERD....and now my insurance company will not cover Nexium, which works for me. So now I have to try Protonix, which does not work, and then I get to try Prevacid, which never worked in the past, and then I get to appeal to my insurance company so they will cover Nexium. It still costs me $30 each time I get a prescription filled...

We need to have healthcare fixed in this country, I could write a book about the mistreatment of those who are paying......never mind the ones who cannot afford to pay...but that is another topic..

Hugs OhMari.....pm if you need to vent, I understand having my gallbladder removed and GERD real well and hopefully someone will answer who has experience with the cream used to treat pre-cancerous cells..

Thank you Marsha. My issues are so small compared to what you and your dh are going through. It just seems lately, I am closing one door and another one just flies wide open.

I'll keep you and your dh in my prayers today.

OhMari, it doesn't sound like you had a very good year. Hopefully the cream won't be too bad and it will take care of it with no problems.

Sending prayers, hugs and pixie dust.

Hopefully the mole will not be serious.
My DH used the lotion a couple of years ago. His face just turned very red. Then the top layer of skin turned flaky (from dead cells). He said it didn't hurt at all. He did warn not to get it on your lips. He got some on his bottom lip and it looked like he had a split lip for two weeks. (that hurt). Of course he doesn't care what he looks like, but I wasn't embarrassed to be seen with him (well not more than usual  ) :flower3:
