My 21st was great!

So, after looking like it might be a shambles, my 21st was great!
Finally compromised with my mum and we went out together to buy my birthday presents (gorgeous winter boots and a new outfit...just what I wanted and we got to spend time together!)

Went for a fantastic meal with my family, one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to.

Had a family get-together one evening and my BF turned up all the way from college to surprise me!

Then came back to college and had a great night out with my friends, a great dinner out with BF.

On my actual birthday (yesterday) I spent most of my day in lectures but came home to have a take-out with my friends. They bought me great gifts and baked me cookies too!

So apart from an 'unexpected appearance' of my estranged father (not actually him-a bunch of flowers from him) it was a great birthday!

See??? I don't complain about everything!!!

Looks like your family isn't quite as bad as you'd have us believe from your other posts.

Glad they came through with something you appreciated--except for your father, of course. His sending flowers was simply despicable.
