Ok, I am back after 3 weeks in Florida. 2 weeks in the World a few days at Vero and a few days at that other park ( Universal , shhh) . Yes it was our 1st week and had to stay off site at the Marriott ( nice ) because DH had a conference. So I took my kids ( ds4,dd6,dd8 ) to the parks on my own. Long talks to the kids about behavior and they were great but never will I stay off site again!! We had to stay there because of dh meetings but how exhausting. We haven't stayed off site since way before we had kids and it was all most painful.

I do take the crowds in stride and the key was certainly being at the parks before the rope drops and do your favorites right away. My biggest mistake was not doing the Safari in the morning. It was a 10 minute wait to use the fastpass machine and than it ran out of paper, I tried to find a cm and when I did they told me that I had to wait in line again. Some one came up to me and was not going to use their fastpasses and gave me theirs and I am still forever grateful, but that was crazy.

We loved all the new stuff ( Soarin, Lights, Motor ,Action ,and Lucky )the only ok thing was Cinderellabration. My 6 yr old said Mom I like the other show better and I think I did too. It was cute but I was expecting a little more story or something.

INMO the weather was great!! I know people are shaking their heads and saying where is she from but I felt like there was a bubble over the World and kept out most of the rain. 3 weeks and hardly any rain. Even the weekend that Dennis had moved through the area , we went to the parks early figuring we would leave early but it never came. On Saturday we were in MK all day and I we were done with the park and started to leave when it rained, about 6p. On Sunday we went to Epcot and it looked liked it was going to rain even TT did not open their fastpasses because it was so threatening but it never came. It turned out to be a beautiful night for illuminations.

We also did the Family Magic Tour, what a great time! The heat was a bit extreme but if you saw 20 people skipping through MK or crawling through the Starlight Cafe, that was us. Then to see my kids faces when Peter Pan and Wendy jumped out of the bushes to help us search for Captain Hooks hook was priceless. We all went to Philarmagic together and my kids sat with them during the show. A great time was had by all!!

I was there last July and it did seemed more crowded this year but it could still be done at a leisurely pace. Although is there such a thing as a bad trip? It is still the most magical place to me even with crowds and heat. Any questions? ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

What a great report and I'm glad you had such a great time. I'm glad to hear the crowds were bearable, since we are planning another trip next year close to this time. Thanks for all the details!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the report, we are going to do the Family Magic Tour in August, and I am really looking forward to it....
