Well, it took slightly over an hour, but we're finally all set for our Aug 14-24 trip to OKW. We had some of the days booked, but had to wait for to book some of the nights at the 60 day mark as some of the points were in a holding account (resale contract).
MS informed me that the dates were available for the 2bdrm, and combined my reservations into one. Then told me I didn't have enough points! Time out - there were 120 point in the holding account and I needed 119. She couldn't figure out why it wouldn't let her book, so she put me on hold. Then she came back and said it had to do with the fact that we had borrowed from our Oct '02 use year, and didn't have any left. Again, I restated that the points I was trying to use were the ones in the holding account. Then she said, maybe it was because we weren't at the 60 day mark for all nights, and put me on hold again.
So, while on hold I raced upstairs to grab the DVC book to check the policy. Clearly states 60 days from the DATE OF ARRIVAL, which I was at 59. Ready to fight, I remained on hold.
After 10 minutes of listening to Disney music, she came back on and said it was all set. Because we had borrowed points, the computer was insisting those be used first, and was ignoring the points in the holding account. She banked the one remaining point, and gave me one reservation number for the entire 10 day stay.
I then "happily" completed the automated survey I had "randomly" been chosen to do. Unfortunately, they didn't allow you to leave any VM comments, but they did ask it you want to be able to make reservations via the internet. They better get a better computer system first!
