Not to gross people out, but when I had a rash break out on my arm, one spot looked like a certain corporate logo, so I took a picture and sent it to my sister "Look!! A Hidden Mickey!!" Something about life being 10% whiat happens to us and 90% how we react to it...


Brandie/Kim - as long as you're still able to make CAKE, arrange your priorities however you please...

Nothing, aside from a messy kitchen, gets in the way of making cakes!

I've already started packing for the podcast cruise!

We started our packing list on the flight up to Detroit. Rick has a whole list for tailgating waiting for the rope drop at the parking lot! I picture me walking around with a tray like the ciggarette girl except instead of "cigars, cigarettes, candy" it'll be "bloody mary, screwdriver, mimosa".

And our MI Kroger has $2 magnetic dry erase boards. I got one for the cabin door yesterday.

And I have a birthmark that looks like a hickey on one of my collarbones. And yes, it's a birthmark, trust me. When Rick and I were dating the first time he noticed it he asked "Did I do that?" "Nope" "Did someone ELSE do that?!?" "Nope, here's my junior prom picture from, oh, 10 years ago. See that? It's a birthmark." "Oh."



And so are the days of our lives..........

I'm switching to a new school this year. At my last school, my finals would have wrapped up the week before the podcast cruise. This is a different program altogether...I go non-stop for 18 months! Their are breaks built in between classes, and it's just one class at a time, but I have no idea what my schedule is going to be yet! I've already resigned myself to the fact that I may miss class that week...if there's a test/final, I will make sure that I make arrangements ahead of time!

Not Brandie-Kim but I have a double major in Management and HR. I will be done in 2 years. I promise to never do team building unless it involves food and alcohol! LOL

What're you gonna be when you grow up?

I have absolutely no idea! At first, I was going to do the cake decorating thing out of my home, but Indiana doesn't make it easy to have a home based bakery. So then I was going to work in a bakery, but I discovered that I just can't work for someone else in that industry.

I will be going to get my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Kind of a generic degree...

DH and I have talked about opening our own business. I would LOVE to do cake decorating, but i'm not quite ready to deal with psycho bridezillas. I like doing party cakes! Much less stress...usually...we've got an idea for a business, we're just not quite there yet. No worries...you will all be the first to know when it happens...lol

It is a Litter Box cake. There are variations but it is mainly white cake crumbled up, spice cake (or chocolate or yellow or whatever you like), sometimes butterfinger crumbled up or Oreo cookies crumbled up. Mix all of the crumbled up pieces with chilled jello, put into new little box, mold Tootsie Rolls into "kitty treasures" and viola! You have a Litter Box Cake.

Looks gross but very tasty, just make sure not to confuse it with a real litter box and dig in.
