My 1000th post! Thank you Podcast Team!

Hey guys. Wanted to share with you my 1000th post! I really wanted to place it here and say "Thanks", since the Podcast and the Boards have really helped me get through a pretty rough year of being laid off and not being able to find work in my field. I can't tell you how much easier it was to relandscape my yard, make my soaps (yes - I make really cool soaps), and just get through an average day while listening to the wonderful banter of the show. My husband thinks you are definitely the best of the Podcasts that I make him listen to when we do the 40 minute drive down to DL.

I found the Podcast first in February (downloaded and listened to everyone I could get from iTunes), and then started posting to the DISBoards in June. All I can say is how wonderful this community really is. I've really had a nice sense of purpose in helping folks out on the Disneyland board, as well as bonding with many of you here on the Podcast forum. I've even gotten to meet an Aussie DIS family at DL and am meeting some more folks this weekend!

Thanks to Kevin and John for welcoming me so warmly into my first Wednesday chat, Regina for answering a question for me - early on, and Julie for letting me send her cabbage roll recipes. I haven't gotten to communicate directly with the rest of you folks, but I want to say a special thanks to Pete for hosting all of us into this wonderful ongoing party. I wish you much strength and support in the coming months - remember you have given the opportunity to get support (Disney or otherwise) to so many people that you deserve all it from us in return!

Anyway, that's all I really wanted to say. Thanks for listening. If anyone is ever out here for a DL trip, please let me know. We'd be happy to meet up with or help out anyone who needs some local assistance!

Thanks for the nice replys and support. I really enjoy this community a lot. It's nice to have people to share all of the useless Disney trivia and planning knowledge I've gained throughout the years.

On another up side - looks like I may be starting a new job in a couple weeks. Did all the paperwork today and just need to get some training in with the owner, when he comes back from vacation! I will be doing a bit of driving to get to some of my locations (agency work in radiology), so I'll have plenty of podcast listening time sitting in LA Traffic!

I know exactly how you feel! Last year the Dis was my support network, when Uni life got tough, i hit the Dis.

I feel really bad of late for not being on very much, but i am just swamped in uni work, hopefully it will ease soon, and i will get time to breathe again!

What a nice post! I think that all of us here have felt what a great group this has become as well as a place for support and of course to dream about our next disney trips! Hope all goes well with the new job!
