We're going to WDW for our first December trip and are looking into MVMCP. My question is- what times do the parades and fireworks usually run? I've read where MK is open to party guests to 1am. I'm concerned that my 3 year old DS will not make it past 10- if that. That will be fine if he will sleep in his stroller- DD 5 will probably make it. But, i don't want him to miss the parade and fireworks either. Anyone who has been in years past, do you remember general times these events took place? Also, is a schedule of events available before you purchase tickets? Will the schedule be posted on an internet sight or do you just have to wait until you get there? We'd like to get a schedule early and kind of map out our night.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!;)

The last 2 or 3 years it has been 7:00 to 12:00 (previous years 8:00 to 1:00). Here's the good news - they will allow admission as early as 4:00pm so you can start enjoying the rides early. You enter a designated turnstile and they give you a wristband. When the park closes at 6:00pm, they allow those with wristbands to go to Tomorrowland to ride and the first show starts there around 6:15. Day guests without wristbands are directed to the exits. Then the party starts in full swing at 7:00. My Mom isn't in good health, so getting this early start has helped us the past 2 years so we didn't have to stay out real late. Last year the parades were 8:15 and 10:45, fireworks 9:15. The schedule of events is not posted before the first party but the times have been pretty consistent. Usually someone who attends the first night will post it here. We've gone the past 6 years and it's the highlight of our December trip!

Thanks DebbieB- that makes me feel better! This may be the only year I take off at this time- so we really want to do this- I am just concerned about DS3. He can definitely make it to the first parade, and probably the fireworks (if not, he'll sleep in the stroller). Do they let you keep riding rides while the regular guests leave? How does that work? And, it seems like I've read about a special dinner or something at LTT- does anyone know about that?
Thanks so much! We have always gone during Thanksgiving week- left before MVMCP- and the new time frame changes my whole plan! I feel like I'm starting over! I'm very excited about what I'm reading about the crowds during this time though!!

I believe only the rides in Tomorrowland run between 6:00 & 7:00. I think if you are in line at any ride at 6:00 you will be allowed to ride (they just close the line entrance). They also have a photo station open there at 6:00 if you want to get yours done early (we always head back to Small World after the party starts to get our picture taken, no line). They also close the stores on Main Street between 6:00 & 7:00.

They do have a special dinner at LTT. They usually start taking priority seatings as soon as the tickets go on sale. A couple of years ago you had to buy your tickets at the same time as you made the PS, but last year I don't think they linked them.

Looked everywhere for it an finally it fell out of one of my video cases - don't ask;)!
