which day? I'm planning a short, 3 full days, everything Xmas trip. We've never done a Christmas party before. I'll be there from Sun. the 15th to Wednesday the 18th. There are two parties during my stay. There's one on Sun the 15th and Tues the 17th. Sundays party is less money than Tues. I've read weekdays are better but I've also read the "cheaper" party dates expect lowers crowds. I was hoping experienced DIS'ers can help me decide which to pick

Typically, I'd recommend the Tuesday party, but if Sunday is cheaper, Go with That! The party won't be any different if you pay more for it. It's a great party, so decide what character is your priority or which parade to watch or when to see the castle show (totally worth it!), but just know that you won't get to do everything available at the party. Oh yeah....target some of those snacks. They were great last year! Have a great time!

The pro for Sunday is that it is cheaper. I don't think the crowd levels will be drastically different between those two dates. Here's the negative about Sunday, are you flying? If so, if for some reason your flight is delayed and you don't get there you would have to see if they would make some kind of exception for you and change your date to Tuesday. That however, would never be guaranteed. The negative for Tuesday is to consider what time you need to get up to leave on Wednesday.

I am flying on Sunday but I should land at 3:25 if all goes well Wednesday is a late flight home so I can sleep in a little. Thank you for your advice. I will definitely consider it in my decision.

I would say go to the Sunday one, but if your arrival time is 3:25 it wouldn't take much of a delay or issue for you to miss at least part of the party. As long as you're not flying out too early Wednesday morning, that may be the best option for you. I really doubt the crowd level will be much different between the two dates.

If you are arriving at MCO at 3:25 and plan on using Magical Express, go to Tuesday party. If you arrive on time, get to Magical Express will need to get dropped off at resort (not sure, if you are doing online check in, or check in after party). You will need to get transportation from resort to park (can wait up to 20 minutes for bus to arrive, travel to pArk (again based on resort, up to 20 minures, through security, etc

with just a party ticket you can gain entrance to the park at 4 pm. Party activities won't start til 7, but you an book 3 fast passes, grab something to eat, etc)

Thank you for the replies If there's not that much difference in crowds, Tuesday is the better choice. I didn't even take airport delays into consideration. (I've been lucky in that regard so far) It would probably be too much of a rush after checking in etc. Thanks again for helping me decide...time to plan and book
