Just curious if anyone has gone to MVMCP without children? I'd love to go, but will not have any kiddies w/ me. Since I've never gone even when I had little ones, I'm not sure if this is something that I should pass on or not. Any thoughts?:thanks:

I don't have children, and I enjoyed MVMCP last year. Going again this year, on 12/6 with MouseFest. I doubt most younger children would stay up late enough for all of MVMCP anyway, as it ends at midnight.

DH and I went in 2005 and had a great time! We were starving in the beginning and nothing was open, so don't go hungry. :) We loved having our picture taken and being able to ride everything with pretty low crowds. Since we didn't have kids at the time, we skipped the parade and rode the rides instead. I would recommend it to you! :thumbsup2

My sis and I went (we're old bags) a few years ago-our first and last! First off, there's no where to eat, we stood in this huge line dreaming of the food we'd buy and all they were passing out were cookies and hot chocolate!!!
The place was packed with kids!! Lines super long on the rides we wanted..
the fireworks were beautiful, but for us, not worth the money. We make it a point every year to go to WDW in early December to enjoy the beautiful decorations but MVMCP was over the top for us. Reading these other posts, we are the minority.

My Dh and I went last year on our honeymoon. At first it rained the whole time and we thought about going back tot he hotel but then the weather cleared up and we had an amazing time. We are going to do it again this year again. Cant wait.

If you love shows and Christmas - go
The shows & Parade are amazing, and the fireworks are the most awesome thing I have ever seen.

If you're going because you hope for short lines, I wouldn't risk it... a lot of folks report short lines, a lot of folks report lines longer then they had during the day. :confused3

For us, two adult females with no kids in sight, we were very happy with the experience...

I'll be going solo in Nov night before my 50th birthday. Will have spent another morn at MK so planning on doing mostly Christmas activities this night.

I figure this way theres a chance I wont be waking up with a hangover and can better appreciate that birthday mimosa at 8am!

My DH and I are older and have no children. We loved it. We had an early dinner at Epcot, headed over to MK and rode a ton of rides during the first parade of the night as the ride lines were much shorter. We then watched the second parade from beginning to end and enjoyed it. We did skip the hot chocolate but did stand in lines to greet characters, do the photo, etc.

We have not been back in December again but next time we do go, we'll definitely do this event again.

I'm going to MVMCP on my solo trip-mainly because the parades, shows, and fireworks don't appeal to my kids or DH at all. In fact, I ended up practically dragging my DD to see Spectro last time. They are all about the rides and weren't even interested in going to MVMCP on our last trip in Dec. So it's definitely not just for little ones.
