OK I went back 3 years worth of dates and I come to figure out the round about dates for the parade for 2006

Since the last 3 years the parade started the last Sun of the month and went sun, tue, turs and fridays
I sort of got the dates down
NOv 26, 28, 30 Dec 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12,14,15 (THESE R MY GUESSES)

I'm think Tuesday or Thursday would be great days to go
we will be there Dec 2 to the 9th. Does anyone know what day (NOT DATE) would be best to go? And do you know when the tickets usually come out.
thanks

If you are an AP holder, last year there was an AP discount on certain days. Tuesday the 13th was one of the dates, so I don't know if that would make a Tuesday more crowded because of the discount. We went on Sunday the 11th, and we got to do everything we wanted to do!

Bobbi :)

Last year, tickets went on sale in May. We went on a Tuesday and it was packed. Someone else I know went on Thursday and it was much less crowded. I know that Friday's sold out while we were there. This was the first full week of December. So, I would definately stay away from the weekends, sounds like whatever day does not have an AP discount is the day to go.

I would guess that Tuesdays are typically the least crowded, but I think as long as you avoid Fridays, you will avoid the worst crowds. Also, this doesn't apply for whatever date the last couple of parties are on. By then schools are getting out and people are starting to come in for Christmas.

We also went Sunday, December 11 and it was great, it had rained earlier in the day, I don't know if that had an impact but we walked on whatever we wanted. I hope Thursday, December 7, is quiet this year 'cause we'll be there!!

Go to touringplans.com/BestDays and they will tell you all the days of MVMCP for this year and which parks to avoid on any given day. I was just on it yesterday and all the days were up. Hope that helps. :sunny:

Hey, Tracey!!!! Nice to see you over here! :teeth:

We went on Tuesday this past year, December 6th (i think) and it was great. Not too crowded, but it was also really chilly that night. It was also an AP discount night. We walked onto most rides that night and the shows weren't too busy, either. Longest line we had was wait for the picture which we did last thing and it only took about 15 minutes.

Actually, the parties may not start that early this year due to Thanksgiving being so early. It hasn't fallen that early in November since 2001.

In the last 4 years, the parties started the Sunday after Thanksgiving but in 2000 and 2001, when Thanksgiving fell earlier in the month, the parties didn't start the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

In 2000, the first party was Thurs, Nov 30 and in 2001 it was also Thurs, Nov 29. Both years, Thanksgiving fell earlier in the month.

Of course, Disney tends to add more nights every year so there still might be a party the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Just wanted to share that it didn't always start the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Great tips. We want to go Thanksgiving week-but don't want to miss MVMCP.
WE will see what this years dates are.

Thanks
