Are there some rides not open during MVMCP? Also, are there some that are easier to get on than others. Is this a good time to try Space Mountain, or will the lines be crazy? Hoping to fit some rides into the night so our touring day won't be so packed! Thanks for any input! My DS6 & DS8 are the riders involved!

Everything is not open during the MVMCP. Most things are open, with the exception of Hall of Presidents, the Riverboat, Tom Sawyer Island, and a few others.
Space Mountain is a good bet early or late in the evening. We go to the Christmas party primarily to experience the park decorated at night, the snow on Main Street, the shows, parade and fireworks. If we get to ride a few attractions, that's just an added bonus!

The Riverboat is open, they have been doing a Christmas cruise for the past couple of years :) Toon Town is also open.

The Train does not run (they shoot the perimiter fireworks off the train tracks.) Tom Sawyer Island will be closed (it closes ad Dusk) the Tree House is hit or miss, sometimes it is open, others it is not. The Hall of Presidents is usually closed as they use the rotunda as a photo location Most everything else is open... those are the only things I can think of off the top of my head that were closed at the Halloween party this year.

I have found that MVMCP is a wonderful time to ride headliners with little or no lines. It's also a great time to ride your favorites back to back and re-ride those addictive rides like Buzz. :teeth:

LibertyBelle- is the train being closed during fireworks an every night thing, or is it new because of Wishes?

No the train is always closed during Fireworks. If fireworks are at park closing the last train will leave Main Street one hour before fireworks and do a last loop of the park so that the trains can be completely off the track and in the roundhouse before the fireworks begin. If they are running 2 parades and fireworks (with the fireworks in the middle) and the park will remain open after the fireworks the last train leaves Main Street about 30 minutes prior to fireworks, does one loop and holds at Main Street (with the other train holding at Toon Town...there are always at least 2 trains running). They will start running again shortly after the fireworks.

The back area between Frontierland and Toon Town is actually where the Main fireworks bunker is (for the BIG fireworks that look like the are above the castle) so the trains tracks back there are the fall out area and quite frequently the trees and brush back there gets set on fire (we have a fire station right there). The train service is stopped for this reason and can not resume until the fire marshall inspects the area and calls it clear.

Train service is not offered during any of the ticketed events. The Halloween party, Christmas Party, Night of Joy, e-rides, etc.

LibertyBelle- so if Wishes and park closing are the same time (say 7pm), do the trains ever start back up, or are they done for the night?

If the Fireworks are at Park closing the trains will not run again, they will have been taken off for the night, last trip 1 hour prior to fireworks...
