MVMCP - which day of week???

Starting to get into more detailed planning for Dec trip. I know there is talk each year as to the best day of the week to attend. I didn't pay close enough attention las year since we were not planning on going to a party. Little did we know 2 yo DD would be a night owl and up to 11:00 or 12:00 every night.

Sooooo... weekday, weekend, Sunday, Tuesday, Friday?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Fridays usually sellout, therefore are the most crowded. We have gone the past 5 years either Sunday, Monday or Tuesday and it was never overcrowded. We make the most of it by going to the back of the park as soon as we get there, it is empty back there. See the second parade, the first is more crowded. More people see the first parade, so the rest of the park is less crowded at that time. The last 2 years they allowed admission at 4:00pm with your MVMCP ticket and you could stay in the park even after the 6:00pm regular close. It gives you a great jump on the party.

I would also suggest a week night to attend. The last two years, we've gone on a Thurs night, and its been great! (although last year, it rained on us). In 2000, we went on a Friday night (in early Dec) and it wasn't too bad. Since then, we've tried the Thurs night and it's been great!!!!

We're doing MNSSHP this year - I'll surely miss Disney decorated for Christmas!

We went on Sundat 12/8/02. It was not very crowded at all. We lucked out last year and it did not rain on us. DD#1 is a BIG Dumbo fan, and it was walk on all night. Nothing was rally that crowded. We had a great time. The Friday that we were there was 12/6 and when we arrived at MK in the am for our CRT ressies, there was a sign up that said the party that nigt was sold out.
