Can someone tell me what you actually get with the price of the ticket? I have heard different things from different people. Is the parade at night the same one that goes on during the day? Also, do you get free hot chocolate and sugar cookies? I have heard it snows (sort of) during the day also? Also, do you buy your tickets the same day you are going? What is the chance they will be sold out before we get there? I would hate to build a trip around something and then not be able to get a ticket. Thanks for any help.

Whether or not it's 'worth it' is completely up to the individual. I love the party. The parade is different than the one during the daytime. It does start running during the day when the parties have ended, usually around the 21st or so. Yes, there is free cocoa and cookies. It does snow at night on Main St. I love the special shows during the party..especially the Mickey's Night before Christmas show. It can get crowded. If you know you are going to do the party, then you might be better off trying to get the advanced sale ones that are discounted a bit.

You get to attend the party with your ticket; it's a hard ticket event held after hours. You get most rides open. You get to see various characters out and about around the park dressed festive. You get to see the Christmas parade and Holidaywishes fireworks. You get the snow falling on Main Street. You get various Christmas shows like "Twas the Night Before Christmas". You get the free cocoa and cookies. You get a free souvenir photo taken (which is then mailed to you).

You can buy the tickets now or when you are at WDW but you then run the risk of it being sold out.

Great question. We are planning on going for this as well. I am pretty excited about MVMCP. To combine Disney with Christmas is pretty special to us. :thumbsup2

I was there last year (05) and it was great. You can look at it two ways. Would you rather go on the rides or would you rather see the shows. When I was there the park still had a good number of people in it but you didn't have to wait long at all to go on a ride. We went on Space Mountain and maybe waited a whole 5 MINUTES. The only other time you wait that long is if your there first thing in the morning when the park opens. We only went on a couple of rides just because we could go on the rides at really any point of our trip, but those shows parade's you can only see during the party. So we did maybe 3 or 4 rides then the rest of the time was watching shows and eating cookies and drinking coco.

Do you know hwo long it takes to get the photo? We are going for the 7th of December and I'm wondering how long it is before I would receive the Photo?

Not long at all; maybe a week. Some trips it was in our mail when we got back and other times it was in our mail a few days after we got home.

I think they tell you 2 weeks but it's always been sooner for us.

Thanks as I was hoping it would be to us before Christmas as we will be out there for the 7th of December so that willbe plenty of time beFore Christmas as it will be nice to show everyone

Last year my DH and I, both 59 years old, were there for the first time in December. MVMCP was definitely the highlight.

The parade was the best. I felt like an 8 year old on Christmas Eve. Everyone was in a good mood, singing and smiling. The fireworks may be the best I've ever seen.

You don't need to use a park ticket to go to this event if you're only going for MVMCP in the evening. The event ticket is all you need. However if you want to enter the park during the day you will need a park ticket also.

If you can, go see the Candlelight Procession in Epcot too. It's a totally different experience than the party but well worth seeing.

There is a ton of information on both of these events on this site.
