MVMCP versus MNSSHP

I'm torn. For those who have been to both, which week would you prefer... the week of Halloween or the first week of Dec? Our kids are 6 and 3 yrs old.

Both weeks are 4s and 5s on the Best Days calendar (kind of surprised me the week of Halloween is a 4). We LOVE Christmas season and went to WDW last year in early Dec, but wanted to take a 7 night trip this year. When I saw the school calendar, the week of Halloween is 2 1/2 days, so I started thinking about it in lieu of early Dec (for which we'd have to pull DD 4 days-- still not a huge deal as it's kindergarten). Does MNSSHP appeal to the 3 and 6 year olds or is it more for the 7-10 year range? DD6 is not too fond of the villians.

Obviously this is strictly my opinion, but...if you have already been in December, I HIGHLY recommend going to MNSSHP and WDW in October.

We have done both, and although I LOVED finally being able to go in December, one of my favorite trips by far was the one we took a few years ago to attend MNSSHP.

Generally, the fall weather will likely be nicer, or at least perhaps a little more predictable (although no guarantees when it comes to rain). During our trip, the weather was still warm enough that we swam every day.

I think children of all ages would enjoy the party. Mine were 7, 5 and 4 at the time and they all loved it! It is not overrun by villians, in fact, other than the fabulous parade, we saw very few. Mostly we saw the characters in "costume".

Also, at the time we went, Cinderella's carriage was set up behind the castle with beautiful pumpkins all around...just lovely.

And we LOVED eating at LTT before the party. Really puts you in the mood.

That week we found the crowds to be delightful.
