MVMCP - Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know...

Does anyone have a good schedule of events to get the most of the activities covered? Seems like some of the things kind of overlap. Also is there a good place to stand/sit so that you have a good viewing point of the show, parade and fireworks? Also, is the Belle show the regular show or do they change it for the party?

Thanks, Erika

There's a pretty good summary of events and schedule (I'm assuming from last years party) here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/mvmcp.htm

I have a couple specific questions maybe someone can answer:
  1. How long are the shows?
    • Cinderella's Holiday Wish (castle lighting)
    • Celebrate the Season Show
    • Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show
    • Belle's Enchanter Christmas Storytime
  2. I've read that Santa appears in the parades, but is he also available for meet and greets? If so when and where?

Plus they put on some Christmas Shows, special meet and greets with Character in Christmas attire and the Princesses are out with their Princes, plus Hot Cocoa and Cookies:santa: plus the benefit of very short waits for the rides:banana: can't wait for all the fun!!!

Short wait times everywhere except to see the Princesses with their Princes. ;)

We've always encountered short waits for them at both parties (HP and CP). I'd estimate ten minutes or less. :thumbsup2 Maybe we're just lucky. ;)

What time during the parties have you been so lucky? We've always experienced long lines when they are in the courtyard over by Small World.

Per wdwinfo Santa was available at MK in Town Square next to City Hall during the day

We usually hit the characters within the first hour. We did see the princesses during the last thirty minutes or so of their posted times during MVMCP in '08, and we literally walked right into the room. The only wait we ever experienced that was longer than ten minutes was for Snow White and the dwarves during MNSSHP, but that m&g is in a league of its own. :rotfl:

You mention "room". I had only seen the Princes with the Princesses during the parties in the area which is normally the stroller parking for Small World (this is where Cinderella's coach was during MNSSHP) so sounds like we have been in two different places. Were you in the judge's tent?

We were in the Judge's Tent to see Cinderella and Prince Charming and Aurora and Prince Philip. We met Snow White and her prince by what used to be Pooh's Playful Spot.

P.S. This Snow White remembered DS by name from our trip earlier that year. We'd seen her, like, three times on that trip, and he was enamored!!

I read over on the Fantasy Land Expansion thread that Belle's storytime is closing this fall to be replaced by something else in the Fairytale Garden. I guess this is an unconfirmed rumor, but it got me to thinking.... If it's true, will the MVMCP bring Belle's Holiday storytime back for the parties? Or will something else take it's place? Or maybe they will simply be offering one fewer entertainment event to save money. The official WDW web site on MVMCP talks about live entertainment, but offers no specifics.

DH and I are booked to go to MVMCP on the 9 December. :santa:

We are both very excited about going! Have read some great ideas and ideas. Can't wait till we arrive in WDW.

We have tickets for the 9th also. :cool1:Can anyone tell me what time the castle lights come on? I'm finally going to get to see them so I don't want to miss it. We are planning to have dinner earlier at Narcoossee's, so I want to plan right.TIA:goodvibes

The Cinderella's Holiday Wish castle lighting show should start at 6:15pm, I believe, based on past years.

My times guide from 2007 says 5:45, although it's certainly possible that it's changed since then.

I want to say it was at 6:30 or something like that last year (2009), at least in early December. It seemed to me that it was the last thing someone without a MVMCP ticket could do.

Ok, I found a reference article from last year that shows the schedule changing depnding on the date. After Dec 5 the time of the show moved from 6:30 to 6:15. Maybe due to changing sunset times? Maybe they will do it the same this year.
