Does anyone know how many tickets you can buy with the DVC discount? Can you buy them for the guests that are staying with you or does it have to be immediate family members (living in the same household)? We are planning a vacation for December and invited my aunt, uncle, cousin and his wife and two boys to stay with us. They have never been to Disney and I would love to be able to purchase these tickets for them.

AFAIK, the info for 2013 MVMCP hasn't been released yet.

Last year the discount was only available on select nights. I believe DVC members could purchase up to 6 tickets at the discounted price. There was no requirement that the tickets be used for family members.

What kind of discount was offered?

I wish they sold them prior to the 11 month booking window as it's part of my "where shall I stay this trip" plan. I know that's not possible, but I wish. MNSSHP isn't out yet either.

There was a discount for preordering ahead of time, and DVC got another $6 off of that. Child tickets were a little cheaper too. We bought 4 adult tix and 2 child tix. That was the max. Planning on doing it again this year.

As far as the schedule, there are no guarantees, but once they start them in Nov, the last two years they had a MVMCP every Friday and Sunday nights up until the week before Xmas. We have a Friday night through Monday booked just in case that weekend they only offer Friday or Sunday night not both.

Thanks for the discount info everyone. luckyman_apd, I did not realize the days it ran, thanks for that extra info.

Last years pricing with DVC discount was $54.95 for adults and $49.95 with advance purchase. I would expect those prices to go up a little..hopefully not too much though!

They typically go on sale around 5/1. Within a month or two, people will be posting that they bought the tickets and now their plans changed, asking what do they do. Typically Disney will be accomodating but they don't have to, it says non-refundable. So if they sold them 11 months in advance, they would have to deal with many more exchanges. They never sellout until a month or two before, no reason to buy them right away let alone 11 months ahead.

Can someone tell me what the acronyms stand for? Plus, I am a DVC member, and I have no idea what Ticket discount you are talking about.

They also have it during the weekdays as well but the days have varied. The easiest way to tell is to look up the MK park hours when they are released for Nov/Dec. the MK closes at 7 pm to the public on days of the MVMCP. Just the last two years Sunday and Friday were consistent. I want to say Tuesdays they had it last year but I don't remember.

Even though the party doesn't start until 7, your ticket to the party will give you park access at 4pm so factor that in when purchasing regular park tickets for your trip. You could sleep in that day, enjoy the resort in the morning/afternoon and save yourself one day of admission unless you are visiting another park in the morning.
