MVMCP tickets booked, but think I was over-charged!

Hi,

I've just been on the phone to W-DISNEY and purchashed tickets for two MVMCP events. But two odd things happened.

1. Dec 18th tickets were $43-ish per adult, but the Dec 20th tickets were $51-ish! I asked why this was higher, as on various websites I have read that $43 is the pre-purchase price, and $51 is the price for tickets bought on the gate.

2. I was told that I can pick up my tickets at a 'Will Call' point, or at my resort (I gave my resort details - we're staying in Pop Century). I asked if I could pay and have them posted to me(as I have done in the past), but she said that they don't post them overseas. However, I have read on another thread that someone else who lives in the UK is paying $3 to have theirs delivered (it may have been for MNSSHP tickets - but it would be the same, I imagine).

I do hope it's all OK!

Lara

I have just ordered my MNSSHP tickets and the lady asked if I wanted to collect them or get them sent , I live in the uk she said that was not a problem but there would be a charge of $10.00 .

12/20 is one of the dates where the advance purchase discount doesn't apply. I had the same thing when I bought my 12/6 tickets. They both go for the regular price of $51.07 I believe. I had to go back and re-read the prices here on the DIS to be sure.

Often the CMs aren't aware that tickets can be posted to the UK - you just need to keep phoning until you find one who does.

Yes, I can see now that I made a mistake, and that the advance purchase price only applies to certain nights. Thanks for that information.

I've just e-mailed Disney via disneyworld.com. I asked if I could have my tickets posted, and that I would be happy to pay any postage. I would much rather have them in advance.

Fingers crossed!

We've just ordered ours (6.45pm) and were only charged $3.00 delivery in total.:confused3

I've just phoned again, and was told by the CM that they are no longer delivering tickets overseas!

I asked if I could speak to a Manager, who also said that they could not post tickets overseas.

Ah well, I'll just have to trust that they'll be there!

We have always done Willcall, never seen the point of paying $10 when you can get them free. Did it with MNSSHP tickets, Cirque tickets, Theatre tickets in New York, its common practise, usually just hand over the credit card you paid with for ID and they will be there.

That's wierd! I just finished ordering our MNSSHP tickets and I didn't even have to ask about having them mailed. The CM just took it for granted that I would want them mailing to us. It cost $10.

What number did you guys call?
Did you have to specify the dates you wanted?
I think I might like to book mine.

jus got off the phone booking ours we are going november 30th paid $10 to ship to the uk,

I just got my MNSSHP tickets (2 adults) and was charged $6 delivery, I wasn't asked if I'd like to pick them up.

Ordered mine at 3.30pm - with no delivery charge and the CM said they would be at my home address within 3 weeks - she asked me to confirm 3 times what tickets they were, for what date and for how many!! She told me it was because they are non-refundable - does she think i'm not going to turn up!!!:rotfl2:

Okay, as ToraMillypoops said, we are having our 3 tickets delivered for at total of $3.00. Others have been quoted $10.00; Chilly has $6.00 ($3.00 each); others are told they can't have them delivered and Girlsontour get free delivery.:confused3

Methinks the CMs haven't been briefed correctly.:rotfl:

To add my comment

$3 for 4 MNSSHP tickets. Very cheap I thought as I paid $10 for the Cirque tickets to be sent over. All the different advice is a bit worrying, wonder how long they will take to turn up. Cirque tickets arrived 5 days after ordering and that included a weekend.
