MVMCP tickets- AP discount for someone else?

If my friend has an AP, but I do not. Can my friend purchase a party ticket for me to get the discount? I would not be attending the party with her. And she is not attending any of the parties this year so there are no concerns about her reaching the max number of discounted tickets allowed.

I purchased Halloween party tickets for last nights party for my son and his friend with the dvc discount. I was not there. I loaded the party tickets onto their magic bands and they had zero issues using the tickets.

I am curious about this too, as I have a friend locally here in MD who is an AP holder, and another friend who was a DVC member and was wondering could either of them purchase tickets using their discounts for me?

I purchased the tickets online and they gave me a will call number that I loaded into mde. The will call number brought up the 2 Halloween party tickets and I selected who to assign them to.

You could chose to have the actual party tickets sent to your house, but I did not.

No problems at all using the tickets last night. I wondered if they would need to stop at guest services before using the tickets, but they did not

When you bought them, did you buy them under your name, or under the names of the people who would be using them?

I bought them online, while signed into my mde account which recognizes that I am an ap holder and dvc member.

After purchasing them, I linked them to my son and his friend.
