MVMCP Ticket info?

If you purchase a ticket to the MVMCP, do you need park admission too?

The reason I ask is that I have some leftover 1 day/1 park tickets from a recent convention and I was hoping to do a different park in the morning, then buy a ticket for the MVMCP and do MK that night?

Is this possible?

The MVMCP ticket will get you into MK after 4 pm. Before that, you'll need a regular ticket.

No, you do not need a park ticket AND a MVMCP ticket. Your MVMCP ticket is your admission onto MK that night. So you can use your left over tickets to do another park that day if you wish.
