MVMCP Thur vs. Fri

Just curious if anyone has any ideas on the difference in crowds between these nights (12/13 vs. 12/14). Originally I thought we should go on Thursday night as I know the parties are sometimes busier on Fridays due to locals. After reviewing some touring plans (we are skipping hoppers this time since they will pay for the party tix) it seems as if it would fit our touring plan better to go to the Friday night party. Do you think there will be a huge difference in crowds? We really just want to walk around and see the parade and fireworks. We've done MNSSHP so we don't have to go crazy trying to get the seven dwarves autographs or anything. thanks.

P.S. I've read the bad reviews about the party and I already know that info but still would like to go since DD5 still believes in Christmas and Disney magic. So please...don't try to tell me not to waste my money and get the hoppers. Thanks.

Since I have the attention of the honorable Robo:
We are flying in on Wed and should be in a park by noon so I figure we'll go to HS and see the Osborne lights. To us HS is a 1/2 day park. We were then gonna do AK in the morning on Thur and then go to MVMCP. Then Epcot on Friday and finish our trip with MK on Sat even though I know it will be busy that day; we have to end with MK with my DD5 then DD6. easywdw.com does not recommend AK thur morning or epcot on friday due to EMH. So I thought do epcot thur and AK friday morning with the MVMCP that night. But if the party will be too crazy too enjoy that night I'd rather deal with crowds during our regular park days as MVMCP may be a one time deal for us. So whatcha think after I give you the whole situation?

The "yup" means only that of the two days you posted for the party, the week day should be less crowded during the party than the weekend day.

If you do want to attend the party, and your plans work better for the Friday party, then, the Friday party should be the one you attend.

Ahh you'd make a great politician...not committing to one side or the other. Just kidding and thank you for your help.

Does anybody have any experience with the parties around this time? We went to a MNSSHP on a Tuesday the 3rd week of September last year and we thought the place was packed. Even the rides were busy. Is it just total madness at these parties? Thanks.

We've been in November but still, here's my opinion :

1) A lot of people will decide to go for thursday night because they fear the locals... Then, it could mean less people on friday night! We've been to one in the week (I think it was on tuesday) and one on friday and both were similary crowded.

2) As far as the party is concern, if you don't really mind about the crazy things as you said, crowd should not be a problem for you since a lot of characters don't have that much of a line, same thing for the treats (cookies and cocoa).

3) I think MVMCP is much less crowded that MNSSHP is. So, no matter which day you choose, it will probably be better than compared to the Halloween crowds.

4) Finally, I would say that MVMCP is totally worth it. There's a nice ambiance, special costumed characters, great treats and awesome entertainment!
