Official Disney World web site says tickets for 12/17 sold out.

Hi- just wondering if that's a Friday? Was this date expected to sell out? I'm getting nervous because we are planning on buying our tickets for the 7th when we get there. Do you think this is a bad idea?

Yes the 17th is a friday and YES I would buy your tickets in advance!! It could be crowded when you're going because every guide book says that the beginning of December is the least crowded, BUT if you look at the list of DIS' people going that weekend....well.... there's A LOT !!! why take a chance ??

Yeay! We want to switch our 12/17 tickets to 12/14 but WDW said we couldn't do that. Now that it is sold out, maybe we'll be able to sell them and buy new tickets for 12/14 instead. Any opinions whether ebay would work? We don't want to make money off them, just get back what we paid.

As stated before, the 17th is a Friday night and the last part of the year, both of which usually means lots of locals. It's not unusual for Fridays to sell out.

Just list them with a buy it now for the price you paid- I'm sure now that they are sold out, someone will buy them fast at that price. -Stephanie

I did a little research back through the 2003 threads and this is what I found out.

In 2003, the final night of MVMCP (a Friday) was sold out by mid-November. The other 2 Friday nights in December also sold out, but I haven't been able to find out how long prior to the event that they sold out. I'll keep checking and post an update if I do find anything.
