What is the 2007 schedule of happenings at MVMCP?

Holiday Wishes--Celebrate the Spirit of the Season: 9:30 p.m.

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade: 8:15, 10:30 p.m.

Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' Show: 7, 8, 9, 10:15 and 11:15 p.m.

Celebrate the Season Show - 7:45, 10:05 and 11:30 p.m. at the Castle Forecourt Stage

Belle's Enchanted Christmas Story: 7:15, 8:10, 10:00 and 11:15pm

I'm thinking I'll aim for the first Celebrate the Seasons show, first parade (go to second if the first is too crowded), holiday Wishes. then either the 10:15 or 11:15 Twas the night before Xmas.

Should I try to see Belle's story time (solo adult)? Any thoughts?

But here's my initial plan - would love to hear others ideas, too! I'm traveling with my partner, we're both in our mid 20's. My "in-laws" may be joining us, but we're not sure yet.

5:10pm Dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe (otherwise I would get to the park earlier!)

6:45pm Arrive at MK

7:00pm-9:15pm take in the party, have cookies & cocoa, maybe ride a few rides

9:30pm-Holiday Wishes

10:30pm Parade

11:30pm-Celebrate the Season

I am opting to skip both Belle's Storytime and the Night Before Christmas show because I don't want to feel like I'm going from one "show" to another all night and waiting around most of the time.

If I can figure a way to fit in Night Before Christmas, I will.

I won't see Belle's Storytime, though and I wouldn't recommend it for a solo adult. My understanding is that it's just a Christmas version of the regular Belle's Storytime. Belle reads a story and chooses kids from the audience to act out parts.

Good to know! Are you and your partner going on 12/11?

Good question! I was told to get a seat for the Night before Christmas around 6:30 to catch the 1st show. We're going to do this so we're not wasting our party time waiting for the show. I feel like I must have a plan of attack! Hedy, I keep seeing your name around the boards! We must be going at the same time. We'll be at the party on the 9th. I'm getting so excited. We've never been to the Christmas party before.

My husband and I are going on the 18th and I'd like to try to see the first Twas the Night before Christmas Show, Wishes, and the second parade. I don't really care about Belle's Storytime and the dance parties, and I heard that the Celebrate the Season show wasn't great. If we happen to catch it, though, I'm sure I won't complain. My husband hates sitting through parades and we never do, so I was very pleasantly surprised when he said that he didn't mind going to see this one. This will be our first MVMCP, and I'm really looking forward to it!:santa:

It might be really tough to see Wishes at 6:00p and then try and get through those crowds to Tomorrowland and Galaxy Theater for the 7:00p showing of Twas the Night Before Christmas seeing as this is a very popular show time and you'd have to get there probably 1/2 hour to 45 minutes before the start to get a seat.

Good luck!

You the guys have gotten me even more excited as I had no idea of a "schedule"
I'll be going on December 11th as well. DH & DD4 will be with me.

If you had to pick THE show to not miss?:santa:
Are all these activities all over the park? Or concentrated to certain areas? My daughter is a late bird so I'm not worried about her passing out on us! I'm just curious as to what crowds might be like?
Any advice will be appreciated!
Kathy

Hey Everybody! I'll be doing the Christmas Party for the first time also this year on Dec. 14th. Like Hedy, I'll be solo too! Dec 11th-15th.

I havent made a plan for the party yet since I've never been. So I guess I'll just follow whatever advice is given on the boards.

Hope to bump into some of you!

I didn't realize there was that much to do during this! Umm I guess our game plan is to wander through the park looking lost. :confused3

We'll be wandering around lost, too. I didn't know there was so much to do. Every other detail of our trip is planned, so I must work on this one now, too. I think my top two picks are the Christmas parade... probably the 2230 and the Wishes fireworks. Can't go to MK without fireworks.... I'm just excited to see everything all lit up at night..... :goodvibes

Hi! Disney has the schedule and map on their website. It is all over the park. The map tells where everything is, what rides are open, where character greeting spots are, etc. I've never been, but have heard not to miss the parade and the Twas the Night Before Christmas show in Tommorrowland. If its like the Halloween party there's alot of people, but the rides have minimum waits. The 2nd parade is less crowded and people start heading out around 10:30. We're trying to catch the 1st Twas...show and the 1st parade since my DD2 will probably be asleep for the 10:00 parade. Check out the map. I learned alot. Have a great time!!!:santa:
