My plane arrives at 6:30. The party starts at 7:00. I can get discounted tickets that night. I am traveling solo for just 3 days and thought I could get this in the first night. I know I will be late but I will be in time for the fireworks. If I go this first night I will not have to use a day of my park tickets and still pay for the party. Am I crazy to do this??? Is it really worth the money?? Or should I just forget it.

If I go the next night I can't get advance tickets. How early can you buy them?

Thanks for any help.

If you're going solo then why not? You'll be there in time for the fireworks, you can catch the second parade and probably most of the shows. If I were in you're position I would go for it.

i'd say go for it. You are flying solo anyway, you wouldn't be holding anyone up or anything. I would.

Well, coming from Ohio.....I always worry about plane delays this time of year (bad weather). I'd be nervous buying MVMCP tickets ahead of time, cutting it that close.

However, I do love the party and would probably go for it - esp. if I was alone and had a discount! Have a great time.

I would like to help, but I'm not sure what you are asking here.

We bought our tickets for 12-12 in advance on Disney's site. I am looking there now, and it is possible to buy tickets in advance for all party dates:

I guess I was under the impression that only certain nights were sold ahead of time. I thought you could buy for the 14th of Dec but not buy ahead for the 15th. Maybe I am cofused. Maybe it is just for the DVC discount.

I am worried about the plane delay also but since it is just me I won't be out too much money. I also heard that you could change your ticket for a different date is something happened. I wonder if my plane was really delayed if I could change it to the next night.

At least flying from Texas there is usually not many weather delays.

Thanks everyone for your help.

You can buy all party tickets ahead of time. NOt sure how the DVC works for the discounts but we are going on 12/15 and 12/19 and bought them off the WDW website.

I think the confusion is from the fact that only specific nights are given an Advance Purchase Discount price, while all nights may be purchased in advance. For the ones not elligible for the Advance Purchase Discount you can still buy it in advance, you just will pay full price.

Hope that helps!

I would be worried about flight delays- it takes about an hour to get to your resort from the airport, so by the time you got to MK it would be at least 8 or 8:30. Any kind of delay might make it not worth it. Will they refund tickets if you don't use them?

The party is so neat, especially the snow on decorated main st. that I would wait and go the next night. Actually arriving at the resort is a treat all by itself. We are going to mk the 21st and staying for the party. We've done that before and like it.
