Hello fellow DISers! :wave2:

My DH and I have decided to try out MVMCP for one evening during our trip in December. We leave in 9 days! :Pinkbounc

Here are my questions:

1. The MK is open from 7:00 p.m.-midnight rain or not, correct?

2. Are any of the counter service restaurants open?

3. Are any dates sold out yet?

4. Where can I buy tickets in advance if I am not staying on property? Can I get them at Guest Relations in DTD?

5. Is it super crowded? Will we be able to get on some of the most popular rides?

Thanks for your help! :goodvibes

We went to 2 MVMCPs last year, so I can answer a few of your questions :
the official time for the party is 7Pm until midnight, but they will let you in any time after 4 PM with just your MVMCP tickets (they do this to alleviate the crush of people arriving at 7) - it is a rain or shine event - I have seen posts about one night of VERY heavy rain when the parades and shows were cancelled and people were offered refunds.

The only CS restaurants open after 6PM sharp are Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills (at least last year that was all we could find) - and they were both slamming busy early in the evening.

You can order tickets on line or by phone and pick them up at Will Call window at the MK (to the right before the turnstiles). Not sure about guest services at DTD.

Super busy? That would depend on the day of the week, time in Dec and how crowded it becomes this year because of the 50th promos. Weekend nights are busiest because of the locals - it gets busier the closer you get to Xmas. We just decided to go down for a long weekend next week and are going to the sunday night party - it was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed all the shows and the special parade ! :smooth:

As of yet, I do not think any dates are sold out. The time is 7-12 and the party goes on even if it rains.
The closer to Christmas, the more crowded the party gets. We've always gone the beginning of December, this will be my 4th MVMCP and each year the crowds have gotten heavier. We've alway been able to see the shows and ride all the rides, some twice, and we love the parade.

Tracy,
We leave in 9 days also, I'm getting psyched.
Be sure to check out the MVMCP thread, Sticky Post -

I'll try to answer some of your questions.

Correct, they usually start letting guests in at 4pm.

2. Are any of the counter service restaurants open?
Yes- in the past we've eaten at Caseys Corner and Pecos Bill's.

3. Are any dates sold out yet?
I haven't heard of any sold out dates yet.

4. Where can I buy tickets in advance if I am not staying on property? Can I get them at Guest Relations in DTD?
I'm not sure, maybe some others can help here. We always get ours months in advance.

5. Is it super crowded? Will we be able to get on some of the most popular rides?
The crowds are usually more manageable on weeknights than weekends, either way not to bad. We get all the major rides done but there are a lot of shows to see also. steve

Thanks for your help! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for your replies! :goodvibes I started reading the MVMCP sticky thread this morning and there is a lot to read! :earseek:

We plan on going either December 6th or 8th, but we won't be able to buy the tickets until we get there because we are using Disney Dollars to buy them. Does anyone know if I can get them at Guest Services at DTD? Also, if I buy them at the TTC a couple of days before MVMCP, do I still get the advanced sale price or will they be full price at that time? Thanks so much! :goodvibes

MVMCP tickets area available at the gate, however, they are more expensive, I think about $5.00 more per person.

Depending on how many tickets you need, that can add up quickly. If you have in your budget "regular" money for meals while you are at WDW, I would substitute that with the Disney dollars and buy the tickets early. I haven't heard of any place to eat on property that doesn't accept Disney dollars as payment. Just a thought, as I am one that is always looking to make the most out of my hard earned money.
