MVMCP question

Hi - I am about to buy tickets for MVMCP, but before I do I have a few questions.

The ticket allows for entry into the MK at 4:00 and the price includes park entry, right? We are planning this for what was oringally planned as a non-park day and don't want to also have to use one day from our 5-day park tickets for it.

Can we book fast passes from 4:00-7:00? If so, this count against the 5 days we can book them per our park ticket? From what I can tell, they don't offer FP during the party, right?

Thanks so much for any help - we've never done a separately ticketed party before.

You can enter the MK as early as 4 pm using just the MVMCP ticket. If you want to enter the MK prior to 4 pm, you would need separate admission that's valid for the MK.

FP+ is not available during party hours.

You can book FP from 4-6:30. For the Halloween party this year, the system cancelled any fast pass that ran past 6:30. Your last return time should not be past 6:30.

Thanks - we don't plan to get there before 4:00, so that will work perfectly.

If we do book FP between 4-6:30, does that take away one day of FP availability from our 5-day ticket? My understanding is you can only have FP booked for the number of days as your ticket.

Thanks again!

If that is the only park you are visiting you will be fine. If you plan on visiting a different park then you will only be able pre-book fast passes for one of those parks. If you have a five day ticket and the party ticket, you should technically have six days of entitlements. But someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

This thread made me think about a question along the same line.

If we are planning on visiting Epcot the morning of our MVMCP and we have FP+ for a few rides there, once we get to MK, would be able to go to a kiosk and get FP+ for rides at MK from 4-6:30 (if there are any left)?

You would be able to use the kiosk if you've used all three fast passes from EPCOT. You can get one fast pass at a time from the kiosks.

Thanks to OP for starting this thread - can someone please tell me if I could also book FP+ for 4-6:30 the day of the MVMCP if I don't have a multi-day pass? This is just a quick 3 day trip for me: Wed arrival day, getting a 1 day no-hopper epcot tic. On Thurs 2nd day I'm using my final hopper day from an earlier trip that is expiring soon. And I was going to make final day MVMCP. Since MVMCP doesn't allow FP+, if I already have chosen my FP+ for Wed and Thurs, am I barred from any FP+ 4-6:30 on MVMCP day (Fri)?

You should be able to make FP+ selections for the day of the party.

Thanks for your quick reply. Just for anyone else who might be wondering, Undercover tourist info confirmed jpeden's comment as well. Now just have to figure out if it's better to do the party or opt for a regular, non-party MK tic on one of the evenings they're open. I hear non-party evenings are very busy since there's not many of them during party weeks. We just want to be there at night. :-)

We went to the MK in September for the first MNSSHP. Our trip started the Friday before, which coincided with Night of Joy (Friday, September 11). Since Night of Joy was basically a party night with a hard close at 7:00PM, we hit MK up at rope drop trying to get in as much as possible. We got so much done that first day at MK we actually didn't have any other "must-do" things. It was awesome. If you're not truly into the party, I'd suggest trying a one-day ticket and go from open until 7:00PM. It will be more crowded than our September date because it's the holiday season, but people tend to avoid MK on a "party day" if they don't have hoppers because they feel like they're getting "short-changed" since MK has limited hours. You can get a lot more done on a low-crowd party morning/afternoon than you can when you have all day and night in the MK with crowd levels pushing 8 and 9. I will say that MK will start to get more crowded between 4-7 as the party guests can enter at 7.

Sounds like you made the smart decision! We've been to MK 75+ times, so our most impt priority is just being there at night, as that's our favorite time vs trying to get to all the attractions. We just need to figure out whether to use a reg park pass during the 1 non-party night they're open late or just do the party as our MK night. Price-wise it's almost the same...passes are a bit cheaper than party tic.

I believe a 1-Day MK ticket is $105 while a party ticket would be at most $84 (maybe a bit more - not sure where they max out). So if you are looking to save some money, the party may be the way to go.
