MVMCP Question.......help please!

Before I begin, please no flames! Ok, here's deal. I was planning on going to WDW 11/28-11/30 to go to MVMCP, and a fellow DISer who I've become friends with offered to just give me their ticket because they had to cancel their trip. I thought that this was wonderful, but had heard that there were names on the tickets and that others couldn't use them. I asked my friend, and they said that they didn't see a name. Well, they arrived today and now I see that their last name IS on the tickets. Now I'm all worried. I don't want to buy tickets if I'll be able to use these, but also don't want MVMCP to sell out on the night that I want to go. Do they actually check ID's or anything when you arrive? Will I have a problem using these tickets? Anyone who has any experience please help! Thanks!

I highly doubt they will check your ID. Can you imagine the line to enter into the MK with everyone needing to have their ID's out! I think you'll be fine. They'll probably just scan the ticket and wave you through. If it were me I'd use the tickets you have.

Everytime we have gone to MVMCP we were already in the park from the day and you go to certain areas just hand them the ticket they check the date and then put a wristband on you. I have never actually come thru the entrance.

We've been to MNSSHP & MVMCP - the tickets are just like regular tickets that you put in the machine, no ID required.

Try to get into the park before the actual party with a regular ticket which may help but I think they are now checking ID's or taking the new finger scans as ID. Good luck.

If you are already in the park they definitely are not going to check your ID, they just check the date on the ticket and give you a wrist band.

I asked a friend who went to MVMCP last year and she and her party of 8 entered the park at 6pm with their tickets and ID's were not needed.

Really, I can't even think of a reason why Disney would check. I'm sure alot of things come up for people and they aren't able to go a party they bought tickets for maybe months earlier...don't know why Disney would even care if they give their tickets to someone else. It's no skin off their nose.

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I called WDW this morning and asked, and they said that the name on the back does not matter as far as the ticket is concerned.

No need to be worried at all, I bought some tickets for myself and some friends of mine when we were going to be going to Night of Joy last year and when I got the tickets I saw that they all had my last name on them. So I called Disney back and asked about it and they told me that they all have my last name on them as I was the card holder that bought the tickets and that it just gets put on the tickets so they know who bought them. And the lady from Disney said that they will not ask for an ID's and that anyone can use them.

I am looking at my MVMCP tix and there are no names on mine. Wonder why there is on some and not others???

The name on mine is on the back at the very bottom in the right hand corner in fairly small print. The person who gave them to me said that he didn't see a name, but he may have been looking for regular sized print.
