MVMCP question - buying tickets night of

Ok, I have a question. I know, its May, but I'm going over my Nov itinerary. So, the tues after thanksgiving, mgm closes at 7pm, well, after fantasmic. Is it possible to go to fantasmic, then go to MK and buy tickets at the gate, most likely 8pm-ish for MVMCP? Do you think it would be sold out? Do you think it would be worth it? We already have another MVMCP planned during our stay, but I was thinking, as long as MGM closed early, maybe we could do 2. the only reason I don't want to buy ahead of time for the 2nd night is cuz we'll be with our 5 and 2.5 yr old and I think we'd want to see how tired out they are at the time to see if it would be worth it. What do you think? doable?

As long as it isn't sold out (unlikely for a Tuesday), it is doable.
