We are possibly planning our last night of vacation at MK when there is a hard ticket for MVMCP. The plan is to stay in the park from rope drop and hoping to grab a dinner ADR for BOG between 6-6:30pm. If we happen to get lucky and are able to get this reservation, we will most likely be leaving the restaurant between 7-7:45. Will I be running into the MVMCP parade at this time?

I will have young children with me so I would be hoping to exit the park directly through Main Street (and not have to detour all through Fantasyland or any of the other lands because I don't want them to make a point of wanting to ride all the rides).

I don't *think* you'll run into the parade. I was there in December and had a BOG ADR at 6:55pm. You get escorted out by a cast member if you don't have a ticket for MVMCP. In our case, they took us through Tomorrowland and then down Main Street, which was a pain because everyone was already lined up for the parade.

Don't think so.

Sorry.

The parade starts at 8:15, so you will not run into the parade, but you will have to mess with some of the crowds. The CM will lead the way, so it shouldn't be too hectic.

This is actually great, as I do not wish to get hung up by parade routes. I think that if I'm stuck in a particular 'land' while we wait for the parade to go through - and tell the kids they can't ride anything would be a bit disaterous...LOL So I was hoping that we could still score a late ADR and then head right out without kids wanting to stop to watch the parade or ride the rides. :)

Disney has figured out that people are making late reservations to try to be inside the park during the party and just "mosey" on out. Like PP said, for ADRs they tend to escort you directly to the exit of the park....so you'll be able to see things as you walk past, but they aren't going to let you stop and watch....I would think this may be just as upsetting to a child having to rush and not watch the parade as it would walking past a ride they can't ride.

I know the hard ticket party can be expensive, but it is also a wonderful evening....besides the parade there are quite a few other events, characters and fun that you don't get outside the party. Maybe top your trip off with the party?

I agree - I think that with everything going on I will schedule BOG for the day before and maybe do Ohana's the night of the party

The Parade is later so you won't see. I agree with the two PP. We've done MVMCP twice and I would d it again. The parade is my favorite of all the Disney parades. Not to mention the characters are dressed in Holiday outfits and there are some rare characters that make appearances and the holiday show. Love it!!!

We bought tickets to a Christmas Party last year in the hopes of seeing Jack Sparrow!! Well the ONE night we were there...he was sick!! Too much rum I figure!! Anyway we had BOG reservations for the next night before the party started. My sister and grandmother kept saying "Well couldn't we just run meet him after dinner and then we'll leave! Just getting the one thing we didn't last night!"

I told them there would be someone outside BOG to escort us out but they weren't budging!! Sure enough after our wonderful Be Our Guest dinner and many pictures with Beast (there was no one else waiting to see him so the PP photographer let us get a lot of pics!) there were people escorting groups out!!

It was SUPER nice being escorted out though!! The crowds parted for the CM getting people out of their way. I heard a couple of comments though about people trying to sneak in but we had legit BOG reservations that I worked hard to get.

(And for the record we wouldn't have tried to see JS. We're moving to Orlando and will have many opportunities. And we go to Disney a lot even now! We did joke about it a lot though!!)

Long story short you will be escorted out so Ohana sounds like a much less stressful evening for you and your little ones!!

I agree, O'hana would be the easier choice. And if you can get your reservation around fireworks time, ask for a window. The MVMCP fireworks are wonderful, my all time favorite! Good luck! Hope everything works out for you! :goodvibes

You will be escorted by a CM. BOG will hold you in the courtyard area until there are a few parties ready to leave, and then a CM will walk you down Main Street. There will be no diverting to other lands, and certainly no riding rides...they check wristbands before allowing entry into rides or character M&Gs.

We did a 6:45 (I think...it was after 6:30) BOG reservation on a MNSSHP night last year. It was nice because we got to maximize our time in the park on a party night, but they did escort us out. Main Street is a big chaotic, but the CMs are pretty good about keeping the escorted group together and moving in an orderly fashion down Main Street and out of the park.

Remember that the hard ticket gets you into the park at 4pm, even though the party officially doesn't start until 7pm. So you may want to time your dinner so that you still have plenty of time to get to the park at least by 7pm when the non-party guests are starting to leave and the party goodies get started. Ohana is a relatively quick hop on the monorail over to the park.

Caveat: Disney has let hard tickets in at 4pm for as many years as I have know....but officially it's 7pm.....and they can stop the 4pm entry at any time. Just want to say that in case this is the year they make that change, lol....but I personally am planning on a 4pm entry for our family, lol.

If you happen to be there the week of Christmas, the Christmas parade is run everyday for all guests , I believe it was at noon this past Christmas.
