They should let you buy the party merchandise 60 days in advance, 30 days for offsite guests...![]()
. . . I agree merchandise should be available for all events, not until they sell out . . .
1) Then, as a business, what do you do with any unsold time-sensitive merchandise???
2) It is smart, financially, to sellout and then not reorder. *
3) Sure beats tossing it out or selling it at a loss.
* Ever try to order a new car after the model year production was halted at the factory, and none in-stock?
But with that said we went to MVMCP on Dec. 2nd, 2014 and most of the exclusive items were ALREADY sold out. One week in and gone. Gone like a freight-train, gone like yesterday. Sorry, one week in and all sold out is not acceptable. Disney knows the popularity of this event and has history too look back on for it's ordering. One week into the event the product should not be sold out.
True...but of course it was closer to ONE MONTH (not one week)...since the first MVMCP on Nov. 7, 2014...and half way over for the party season. Now of course, I have tickets for the second to the last party...so wish they planned better, but understand that we were taking a risk on the merchandise going so late.
Some of the merchandise for the 2014 Epcot Food & Wine Fest sold out also. I went toward the end of October and the coffee mug and several of the pins were not avaible.
They did have bands when I was there last week but only certain places. I was told by 3 different places that they would not receive anymore ornaments. I also bought my tickets for the party in October, wish I could have ordered a couple then. That should be a perk to advance ticket sales. Will they be getting more in? Do you know if the MVMCP magic bands are still available?
I was told the ornaments sold out at the second party.I'm a pretty big Disney defender, but one thing they should be great at by now is merchandizing metrics.

This makes no sense at all to me. A party is a hard ticket event. A separate charge. Why should an onsite guest have an advantage over an offsite guest when they are paying the same for the party ticket ? Your reasoning please ?![]()
