Things have been so crazy around here that I'm starting to worry a bit that I've forgotten to do something trip related or I'm going to forget to pack something. And I still haven't finished stitching my sweatshirt. I may have to finish it while we are there. Wonder if I can bring my little tiny scissors in my carry-on so I can work on it on the plane.

Actually, I may be able to bring my little tiny scissors. I was checking out the TSA website yesterday (www.tsa.gov) and I know it said cuticle scissors are allowed. I'm going to double-check today to see if my little ones are ok too.

Here it is: (the first YES is for carry-on and the 2nd is for checked) Mine are actually what we call "snips". They are plastic and have a plastic cover with probably a 1 inch cutting area. And I work in a secure building with the same type of screening as the airports and they pair in my purse goes through those detectors every day without a problem.

Scissors - plastic or metal with blunt tips. Yes Yes
Scissors - metal with pointed tips and blades shorter than four inches in length. Yes Yes

I am sorry we weren't there. My 2 1/2 yo DD crashed on us, although we did stay and watch the parade. And then when it started raining we didn't think it best to stay so unfortunately we didn't get to see much of the party.
