MVMCP - My Very Merry Chistmas Pre-Trip Report

yeah for online check in!!! lol at Fantasia and Walt on drugs. Yeah, I love Alice- one of my favorites stories (as well as Peter Pan)- i love the imagination in those, but yeah, definitely weird especially the Through the Looking Glass- very dark. But i like that sort of wild creative dark sci fi stuff. :confused3:rotfl: Even funnier- i am miss never touched a drug in my life! maybe that's why i appreciate it, it is a little taste of it? :rotfl:

i can't say if i have watched Fantasia all the way through or not.

I tried the wacky weed when I was younger, but since I was already drunk I didn't see what the fuss was about. Never did anything else. Of course I did start drinking around 14, so there's that, but oddly enough, after I turned 21 the thrill of that kinda wore off, and I rarely drink anymore.

Very happy today. Finally got Mickey Mail from Magical Express. :dance3:

One week from this moment we will be watching Fantasmic. Wow.

Watched Fantasia 2000 last night, and enjoyed it. It isn't as long as the original, and has cartoons for each song, not so much of the psychodelic stuff from the original.

Today we saw Tangled. Cute move. The oldest liked it, the youngest thought it was a little scary. Now we are looking forward to meeting the characters in the park a little over a week from now.

Speaking of the parks, I guess I have to finalize the daily plans. Day 4 will be an odd day because we are checking out of AKL and heading over to the Poly.
I think we will start the day by just going to Epcot from AKL after checking out. First thing on the list, get FP's for Soarin' then head to test track to give that a whirl.
From there we will head into Journey into Imagination, and maybe catch Captain EO. I am pretty sure that's still playing. From there we will head into the Seas with Nemo and Friends. Checking out the stuff in there. Turtle Talk with Crush is definitely high on the list. Somewhere in there we ride Soarin.
From there we will head to the Poly to check in. We will spend the rest of the day wondering around the resort. If it is warm enough we might even hit the pool. 8:00 we have ADR's for the Spirit of Aloha Luau. After that we hit the sack, gotta get up early to head to MK the next day.

OK, so I am going to be lazy. Instead of continueing to write out the daily plans, I will just post pics of the plans I created to include in my daily planner for Disney which is just a 4x6 photo album. I don't remember who I stole the idea from. The book also contains all of my Reservation Confirmation codes, little maps of each park with locations of characters for Pictures. Where to get the really fancy PhotoPass pictures that include Tinkerbell, Simba, Mickey, etc...

I used the Disney Font wherever I could, oddly enough this site doesn't give that option. Bummer. Anyway, here are the daily plans, including a special entry for MVMCP. They are pretty high level, but should get me through the days. 7 & 8 are pretty sparse. 1 is touring the countries at EPCOT, plus our last day plans.

I love your font, and your plans look good, except where you put the 14th in twice instead of the 15th... Unless you plan on doing a remake of Groundhog Day? It looks like you guys are going to have a great time!

:lmao:Ha, would you believe I scanned it a few times before posting to make sure it looked good, and completely missed that. I fixed it.
It's great that we have 8 days to see the parks, 2 of them are a bit short, day 1 and the last day, but this way we aren't rushing around like madmen trying to see everything. Hopefully the last day we can see the Haunted Mansion, my oldest thinks it is going to be scary.

I'm glad you got your ME stuff! :) We finally got ours this past weekend. DW and I are looking forward to seeing Tangled, if we can figure out a good time to go. DD is not doing as well in movies as she used to.

The Spirit of Aloha Luau for tonight is cancelled due to the cold weather. I hope they don't cancel my Luau next Tuesday at 8:00. When I went to Hawaii our planned Luau was cancelled due to rain, and we had to settle for the resort Luau which was held indoors. Not really the same. What kind of bad luck would I have if my second ever Luau was also cancelled?

On the plus side, if the PIN Code I got didn't have this week blocked, I would be down there now, and tonight most likely would have been our Luau night. I hope the people who are down there now are enjoying themselves. It looks like it is chilly at night, but in the 50's during the day.

Aaaah!!! We have a SoA dinner on 12/11 at 8PM. According to Accuweather.com, it's supposed to be 72 during the day with a low of 53. Do you think they'd cancel? It's a 20 degree difference between that night and tonight.

Are you excited yet? Two more sleeps, one Religious Education class to teach, a mani/pedi/eyebrow wax, about 10 loads of laundry, a late night drive, hotel in Savannah and (maybe) a lunch at Lady & Sons and I'll be at Disney!!!:rotfl:

53 you should be fine. I found this info on this site, but haven't seen it anywhere else. I checked the Disney site, and All-Ears, but they don't give specific temps. According to Weather.com it will be 64 with a low of 39 next Tuesday, if my Luau get's cancelled, I won't be too pleased. I don't have room in our schedule for us to go on another night.

I"m ecstatic:woohoo:, but have alot of stuff to get done at work, and my days are full of meetings. How am I supposed to do my job if you have me stuck in a room for 3-4 hours a day?

Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is located at Disney's Polynesian Resort in the Luau Cove located just off the beach in a covered, open-air theater. Please note that show will only cancel for temperatures falling below 50 Degrees.

Wow, I have no idea what the weather is going to be. Accuweather.com and weather.com give different extended forecasts.

Next Thursday weather.com is predicting 74 and sunny. Accuweather.com is predicting 68 and rain.

I like weather.com better because they show the higher temps. ;)Last time we went, we packed warm clothes because the weather was showing high 50's, low 60's all week (12/21-12/26/2008). We wore those warm clothes the first two days we were there and then we drove to Walmart to find summer clothes!:rotfl: It was close to 90 on Christmas day and with the temperature and the crowds at MK, we were sweating!!

I am doing a day by day comparison of the two sites, and then checking the next day to see what the actual temp was and who was closer. I tend to favor weather.com, i am only checking accuweather since they predict farther out...

90's would be a bit extreme. I am fine with mid 70's, maybe a day in the 80's while we are at the Poly so we could use the pool, but I don't want to be greedy. I like the weather on weather.com better. Of course, anything further than 3 days out is a crapshoot anyway, but hopefully I can get a pretty good idea of what to pack. I figure I wear a pair of jeans down, and pack another, and I should be ok. I will pack shorts an t's and if I need a sweatshirt or something I can buy it there.

Bummer, weather.com is now predicting 72 and showers next Thursday. That's our MVMCP day.
