MVMCP lines during early parade?

We are going to MVMCP on 12/17. I currently have BOG dinner reservations at 8:10p - original thought was ride headliners with fast passes 4-6, then some of the big rides (btmrr, splash) after, dinner, then maybe just a slow ride or two before 10p fireworks and late parade. But now I'm second guessing as I've heard lines are usually short during early parade which is right when we'll be eating. Is it worth trying to reschedule dinner to take advantage of the shorter waits? Note we aren't really worried about character m&g's.

I wouldn't do a table service meal during a party - with as much as the party costs, you're losing out on at least an hour of party time in a restaurant.
