As stated, We've never been to disney when the Christmas lights are on and obviously never to MVMCP. I have lots of questions. How much are tickets, where do you get them, what kind of stuff do they do? My boys will be 10, 8 and 2, do you think they will enjoy it?

I would love any and all info on this and pics would be great too!

Thanks to all who reply.

Tickets are not cheap..Adults $55.95 = tax and kids are $49.95 + tax. They generally announce the dates of the parties april? and they go on sale MAY 1st.When they first go on sale you can only purchase by calling disney. Then they go on sale on the Disneyworld website. You can also purchase tix at your resort when you arrive( providing the party has not sold out for that night already). The party features A special Christmas parade and Christmas fireworks, some special holiday shows throughout the park, "Snow" on Main Street, and cookies and hot Chocolate.most rides are also open .I personally prefer the Halloweeen party,Maybe because Disney really does Christmas all over all the parks and resorts and doesn't do anything Halloween except the party.

I just did MVMCP 5 weeks ago on a girls-only trip - no kids! While I enjoyed it, I wouldn't need to do it again for $60 a ticket. I doubt I would take my kids either, just because I know that while in WDW, my kids are DONE by 8pm. I'm not sure we'd have an enjoyable MVMCP, or be able to stay until midnight with them! The party ends at midnight, but if you're using Disney transportation back to a WDW resort - give yourself another 45 - 60 min. on top of that to return to your room. The buses were JAM PACKED after the party!

From 7pm-midnight there are stations set up with free hot chocolate & cookies, there are 2 special holidays shows, special holiday fireworks & a holiday parade. There are dance parties around MK for everyone as well, with characters. Most of the major rides & attractions are open during this time as well.

My friend was there to see the shows, parade & fireworks. I was there to get on the rides with a much shorter wait time than during the day. The party was PACKED, more full than it had been earlier in the day at MK. We had to stake out spots for the parade & fireworks 45 min. in advance, and waited in a long line for the Twas The Night Before Christmas Show. We did all of the rides & attractions with minimal wait, maybe 20 min. tops, with the exception of Snow White's Scary Adventires, Peter Pan & Winnie the Pooh. For some reason those had a 40-60 min. wait everytime we checked.

I had fun but it wasn't worth an extra $60 to me! I'm probably in the minority, everyone else raves about MVMCP. This year I'd like to try the MNSSHP instead!

We took our 3 dd's, youngest was only 2 at the time. This was in the middle of our vacation, early Dec., and our girls were used to doing the attractions during the day without any lines, so they were quite surprised at the crowd the evening we went. We did enjoy it, but we opted out the next year and spent the money on a Wishes cruise, which everyone loved. We don't plan on going this year, but will use the money for an illuminations cruise. If you've never been, I say give it a try.(We may have went on a busier night) It was not our favorite night at MK, but we did enjoy it, and thats all that counts. Have a great trip. Janice
