We are going to Disney 11/29=12/7 and are trying to decide a couple of things.
There will be and my DH(Both senior citizens), My DS(35), DD (33) and her 2 sons age 5 and 13.
So MVMCP would cost almost $400 and I am wondering if it wortrh it. I know the little guy might not make too late but would probably make it for Wishes and the parade. What else is there to do? And what do you do able eating that day?
Also thinking about going to SeaWorld as we have not been there in years and the grandkids have never been.

I am just having a hard time deciding and everyone else "Whatever you want will be good" so need some advice
I don't think I want to spend $$ for both of these. But need to know what to do so we can start planning park days and ADRS.

I would like to say pick one or the other but we will be there at that same time and are doing both. This will be our first trip to SeaWorld so I can't help much with that but we are going there because I think the crowds will be lower than our June 2014 trip. That being said.....I love MVMCP :santa:. I love the party atmophere, the stage shows, the special fireworks display and of course the parade. If you have never gone at Christmas I would say MVMCP is a must do. Plenty of places to eat all day but most close by party time. Casey's and Cosmic Rays are both open and I think Pecos Bills as well.

I also think you will be surprised by the 5yo. Some how mine seem to keep going through the entire party and we usually go ride small world at midnight. We also make sure to not have to get up early the next day!

Tough decision! Good Luck!

My DH and I (both seniors) go to wdw once or twice a year. We finally went to a MVMCP a couple of years just to see what all the hoopla was about and we were very disappointed. It was packed and it was only mid Nov., the "free" hot chocolate and cookies were only being given out in 2 places for the entire MK. The one we were near, on the pathway to Tomorrow Land, had well over a hundred people in it, needless to say we didn't wait.

The parade while nice wasn't that great. The snow at the end falling on main street was also cute. None of this was worth the $55. per person that we paid (and this was with an AP advance purchase discount).

With the high price of park tickets I think they have a nerve charging for this show and should be presented for free as the normal parade is. But as long as the public is willing to pay it they will charge whatever they can get away with.

The Halloween "special" is also a big money grabber for them.

Go to Hollywood Studios instead and see the Osborn Lights instead, it's free and it's spectacular and the snow falls from the sky just like in the MK.
This is a much better show than the MVMCP in my opinion.

Will you be back to WDW during the holidays? If not, I say go for MVMCP.

I am a true Christmas addict and will never forget the experience of walking on Main Street amidst the "snow" flurries while Christmas music surrounded me. The parade and fireworks are fantastic and you will not have an opportunity to see them otherwise. The toy soldiers were incredible! Do keep in mind, though, that not much else about the party differs from a regular park day. The rides are the same and the hot chocolate/cookies are nothing to write home about. You can also snap pictures with the characters in holiday attire elsewhere (i.e. Camp Minney Mickey at AK... awesome!) The main draw is the entertainment and ambiance. You should also be able to ride a bunch of rides since the parties are usually not too crowded that early on. Only you can assess whether or not the entertainment is worth that chunk of change.

Although MNSSHP is superior, I still thought MCMCP was great and certainly worth the $ for us since we will likely never return during that time of year again. Sea World probably isn't going anywhere!

Good luck with your decision. :)

P.S. Do not miss the Osborne Lights at DHS! Incredible.

For us, the Christmas party is totally worth it. We have been twice and are going for a 3rd time this December. Like the pp, we love the atmosphere, the shows, the parade, the special fireworks, and of course, the snow on Main Street. With that said, I agree with mariamouse.....if you won't be back again during the holidays, I would do the party. I think the parties are worth going to at least once.
