MVMCP: how loud are the fireworks ??

My 4 year old was terrified of them once (not at disney) because we were too close. If you are not right there, are they really loud ?

Also, can you see them from pretty much all over ?

We are not going to park ourselves anywhere to see parades because it wouldn't work for us, but I would like to at least be able to see the fireworks while we are doing whatever we'll be doing. Any good place to be walking around / ride to be riding when they go off ??

I believe that Illuminations is the loudest. They happen in the center of the lake and World Showcase surrounds it. However, you can still see some things closer to Spaceship Earth so that what's I'd recommend for you.

As for Wishes, if you view them near the front of the park it should be okay.

We also have a 4 yr old (DD) that is scared of them. The last time she went was when she was 2 and she did not like wishes or Illuminations. They were both to loud for her. We are just hoping that this year she will be over that fear. So just remember that while you are dealing with this, SO ARE WE. We will be there Dec 7 - 13.

Has anyone ever tried ear plugs of maybe ear muffs for young children to lessen the sound. My son is another 4yr who is terrified of the loud noise.

That is a great idea. After reading your post I remember that my dad told me he would be bringing those for my dd this year (ear plugs that is). And since he works for Shell Oil as an industrial hygenist I assume he will have some kickin ear plugs. Thanks for reminding me.


If I see he has some really good ones, would you 2 like me to send you some for your little ones to try? I would be glad to!
