MVMCP - how long do I have to decide?

Our Dec trip dates aren't firm yet because we are waiting for the kids' school calendar for next year to be released. We will either go to WDW 12/1-12/5 or 12/5-12/9. Since MVMCP tkts can't be returned or exchanged (?right) I want to wait to purchase until our dates are firm. Anyone know, historically, what dates tend to sell out in advance and by when? I know that when we went to MNSSHP on 10/31 I really got my tkts early because I know that date always sells out. Any info on any similar situations with MVMCP will be appreciated?

You should be fine to wait. When will you get the calendar? I usually purchase mine in October for that same time period. The earlier dates sell out last. My understanding is that the later Friday sells out first. Actually, I was able to get a couple for Thursday night on the morning of the Party this past year.

Thanks - that makes me feel much better. I know I won't have to wait until Oct to decide - we'll probably know by mid/late August at the latest. But I hope we can decide sooner because I just can't wait to get those tickets in my hand......

We usually go on a Tuesday night the first or second week and I wait until I get there to buy them, it's never been soldout.

Unless you think you might want to go on a Friday or Saturday night, you should be fine. We went early December last year and bought our Tuesday night MVMCP tickets when we got there. Even for a Friday or Saturday night though, I don't think I heard about a sell out until early November.
